Will Ferrell, Apple products and the Beatles are the most over rated things I can think of at the moment. They all suck(ed) compared to direct competitors and I have no idea how any of them got as popular as they did.
I pay more then enough taxes and I'm worth every single dime that I have, Occupyers are self important deluded fools that would make an excellent source of food.
I am the 1%

People who live in central Calgary finance the lifestyle of suburbites. The municipal tax structure is set up exactly the opposite of the way it should be. Tax breaks should go to those in the middle of the city.

i'm not sure if this is more of a gear grinder - but i can't stand how people can't put their stupid cell phones down.
seriously... you're walking thru a crowded mall, you don't have to be texting while you walk. if there is a guy coming towards me texting he's toast - i don't get out of the way. i'll just walk right into him and then say something like, 'head up son!!'. if it's a girl there will still be 'contact', but i make sure it's more of a clipping, i don't want to knock her over.
similarly when you get together with people - put your bloody phone in your pocket and leave it there. if it's an emergency or something critical, by all means take the call/respond to the text, but 99.9% of the time it's something that can wait

hip hop is NOT dead, it just changed. It's not as good, but there is still some good underground stuff out there.
I'm dissatisfied with the lack of morality, general caring, and community in big city communities.
I CANT STAND people who have a sense of entitlement, including religious folks who consistently try to force jesus up my @ss. Or down my throat. You think you're going to heaven, but you're really going to hell.
I AM a human being, I make mistakes. So do you. Do you see me shoving it in your face?
The stranglehold engineering disciplines have on many technical and business careers in Alberta. Hey hiring people, look outside the engineer box and you might be pleasantly surprised.

The Beatles are a glorified boy band. They didn't make rock and roll. They made ####ty pop music and wore lame outifts. If you want to listen to a sitar, listen to an actual sitar player. You don't need to hear the beetles butcher the genre by incorporating it into a radio friently pop version. The Beatles songs sound like nursery rhymes.
The occasional wiff of second hand smoke when you are outdoors is not going to affect you in any way.
Although I believe in conserving resources in general, I am not 100% convinced that man made global warming is occurring. It's a very likely explanation, at this point, but not the only one, and we should always be open to new ideas. Global warming is not a religion. You do not "Believe" in it. The opinions of many on this subject are influenced not by a love of the environment or reasoning but by which political party they want to win.
I rarely vote. I appreciate the right to vote, but I cannot stand bi-partisan politics. The whole system just boils down to who you want to win, as you have arbitarily defined yourself as "left" or "right" at some point. I cannot understand why issues like economic policy and gay marriage have to be linked. You can't choose one policy without voting for dozens of others you despise.
Baby boomers worked far less than the current generation and recevied far more. Anyone who says this generation is "entitled" doesn't know what they are talking about. Lower end jobs pay less. Housing, food, and gas are far less affordable. It's far harder to get into useful educational programs than it was 20 or 30 years ago. Very rarely does a couple have the privilege of having one person stay home to look after the domestic work and kids. The list goes on.

Agreed. Tea tastes better and my stomach handles it considerably better.
I'd say one of my most unpopular opinions is that Bouwmeester is actually a decent defenseman. Although that seems less absurd after the last game vs the Oilers.

Smokers who feel they are entitled to pollute the air I breathe, just because they are addicted to something stupid.
