I think the superbowl winner comes from the AFC this year- Pats or Broncos. Hard to say who comes out of the NFC. I want to guess the Seahawks, but think it will be difficult for them to win 3 road games. I'm not sold on the 49ers completely. Atlanta might be hurting on defense after yesterday. hmmm...
I might have to go with Pats/Broncos-49ers/Packers

I don't care, as long a GB loses I am fine with anybody else winning it all.

Colts @ Ravens
Bengals @ Texans
Seahawks @ Redskins
Vikings @ Packers
That would set up:
Texans @ Patriots
Ravens @ Broncos
Vikings @Falcons
Seahawks @ 49ers
Meaning:
Ravens @ Patriots
Vikings @ Seahawks
Superbowl:
Seahawks vs Patriots

Will buy you a case of beer if this happens...it won't because if Cinderella can host a home playoff game and win 2 on the road prior to that (not having won a single playoff road game in the last 8 tries, since December 1983 vs Miami), then toss out all the other tangibles and intangibles; they will win the SB.
I will be at that NFC Championship game; that's the only way out of all the combos it can play out with the 5th and 6 seed in the NFC.
Ravens beating the Broncos?
My picks:
Colts @ Ravens
Bengals @ Texans
Seahawks @ Redskins
Vikings @ Packers
That would set up:
Texans @ Patriots
Colts @ Broncos
Seahawks @ Falcons (Seattle to lose in a heartbreaker, a lot of "what if" moments)
Packers @ 49ers
Meaning:
Pats @ Broncos
Packers @ Falcons
Superbowl:
Broncos vs Packers

Unlike in the NFC, the top two seeds have really been a benefit of late in the AFC. The conference's Super Bowl qualifier has been either a No. 1 or No. 2 the past five years in a row, and nine of the past 11 seasons.

Ha no...I know we had the same opening round picks from the other thread, but carrying them on like that is kinda scary.
I copied Cheese's formatting and made the adjustments for my picks...but looking at the formatting, looks like he copied yours first and made his adjustments.
Too funny....but this is proof positive that the hockey lockout is going on far too long when I am starting to agree 100% with Oilers fans.

Not trying to start a flame war on here or anything, but why is everyone picking the Falcons to lose their game? Just curious.

Because they have no run game and an average defense. That tends to get you beat in the playoffs. Plus, a lot of their wins against horrible opponents were less than impressive, and they also lost to some bad teams. The also played a very soft schedule (only two playoff teams). They did have one nice win against the Giants, but I don't think the Giants were very good this year.
They matchup well against the NFC North teams (they're probably better than Green Bay), but I don't like their chances against Seattle or San Fran.

I think they're a good team. But for the reasons mentioned here, and sprinkle in previous recent playoff failures when they've been expected to go all the way to creep into their minds, and from that, that extra week to think about the game and "over prepare" to make sure they don't lose (as opposed to win). Thus, using the W/L records for whichever team they face, will be fairly insignificant.
On another topic, plus in your fav player here to get a breakdown. Wilson at $544K is pretty good value I'd say...on the flip side, Matt Flynn isn't, and will likely head to another team this offseason who needs a QB. There are more then a few...question is, is Flynn the next Kolb especially after basically a year of not playing?

Atlanta is like Dallas now. Until they win meaningful games, people won't be compelled to pick them. This year the run game is weak so Matt Ryan has to bring his A game next Sunday of they are in trouble.

I heard some stats today about teams records Seattle was 4-2 against other teams in the playoffs which was more games over 500 than any other team in this tourney. Houston, Denver, Green Bay, Baltimore, Minnesota, and New England all had losing records against other playoff teams. Atlanta only played one team, the Broncos in week 2. Houston and Minnesota both played 7 games against other playoff teams. Indianapolis was 3-2 which might surprise some.
New England, Seattle, and Green Bay are the only teams who were never beaten by more than one score in any of their losses.
I think those three teams and Denver would be my picks to be the final 4.

Last time I trust those moving the chains guys...Falcons will always have that playoff cloud hang over them until they win a game or two. Peyton Manning dealt with it early in his career and eventually overcame it. I guess we find out this year if Matt Ryan can.
