I very much favour a clean, simple look. Something that would fit nicely on a letterhead, with a bit of colour to draw the eye.

I really only have two primary uses for the logo:
- Business Cards
- Stationary

I like the simple look of the ones that TorqueDog posted. Just my 2 cents.

Locke, your former company has been bugging us for our business.
I asked them if I could get the same specials as last year. Someone responded asking what that meant.
Before I continue, how long do you want me to carry on with a farce, and just how far shall I go?
If at all.

I'm of the opinion that I have made a clean break, so theres no need to contact her at all.
Although I do appreciate the support.
All of these suggestions and offers have been really helpful, and I appreciate them all.

^^ I would probably go with Logobee.com from Montreal. They are not expensive.. some of the designs seem so simplistic you think at first what the hell. But at the end of the day you can roll it out onto business cards and stationary no problem. I'd recommend the gold package with the stationary. $450. They did the legal zoom logo and that company has grown leaps and bounds.
I'm still billing Locke a case of beer for my pink CP design. I thought it was nice and clean.

What I want to know is What does Locke want for his Logo? Does he want it with just words or words with some kinda graphic art with it... Through there aren't many pictures symbolizing tax services..haha.

I honestly dont know. I was of the opinion that I didnt need one at all, I've been informed that I'm wrong. As such I threw myself to the mercy of the greatest resource I know, CP.
Its accounting. It isnt glamourous, theres nothing fancy about it. What kind of logo can you have? I have no idea so I consulted people more creative than me.

Rates are tricky... most designers keep that stuff pretty close to the chest. There was a good blog post put together that I found last year that sampled 40 designers and this is what they came up with for logo cost:
Important to note these would be 40 professionals located around the world. A 20 year veteran won't charge what a SAIT student would, and somebody in NY will won't charge what somebody in Olds would.
