that is the ye old cobbler.
i'd also think that a Hemp Shoppe would be a great addition to High Street.
Once again, adding the "pe" to shop maintains the old timey feel........

Bump old thread:
Looks like they're prepping to pave the other 2 lanes of 130th between 52nd and McIvor, but it looks like they're also going past that as well. I know 130th will eventually link to Stoney, but anyone in the know have any idea if they're already starting construction on that or are they just going to put down the road around the community for now?

Let's hope it's soon. Traffic sucks from 114th west to 52nd SB and then from 126th ave past Lowe's.

No plan for the overpass anytime soon I believe. They might be paving it up to the pond to give alternate access?

Had to go to google earth to figure out where McIvor was. Holy there's a lot in that area I have no idea about. There's large sections of land scattered everywhere that look like they're totally unusable? North of southtrail crossing all the way to 114 ave.
West of Barlow, east of 24th south of Glenmore?
What's the lifespan of a dump? How long will Sheppard be there?
Does 130th have to go through or around that swamp to go to stoney?

If you look at Google Maps in satellite view you can actually see the path of 130th as it moves towards Stoney. It'll curve south around the water, then up a bit to the interchange.

Just an update for those who use this connector to get to and from 130th. I made a 311 report after seeing yet another accident at 126th ave and 48 street. The underlying problem there is many Good Life Fitness customers park on 48th along the median, which makes it hard to see if it is clear to go through the stop signs as you travel down 126th ave.
My suggestion had been to make it into a 4 way stop. The Roads Department had a different solution, they are going to make 126th ave free flowing, and 48th street will now have the stop signs. They said to expect to see the changes sometime in March.

LOL, they won't even be able to see the stop signs with the vehicles parked there anyways. That area is a crap shoot. They should just ban parking along 126ave, one car and it forces you into the oncoming lane.

They will if the city has police start ticketing drivers for parking within 5m of the new stop signs.

Won't be too long before 48th Street is extended North for the SE Transitway - then imagine the intersection there....

They told me the timeline for the extension and traffic lights is about 18 months; which was why they didn't want to go with a 4 way stop.

Sorry, I know this thread is about a road.... but I simply cannot gloss over the fact that someone took Jiri up on the Bill Bumface offer.....
Who's handle was this before the switch?
And has there ever been a more appropriate avatar? I think not.
