Are you kidding around with me? You're right I don't like dogs because they crap outside anywhere/everywhere, bark and attack people. Cats don't do any of those things and they clean themselves. Plus they do their business in a sealed box, not on the carpet if they get too excited. I've had cats before and they're not a lot of work. Also, the cats I've had didn't ruin any of my furniture.

can you please tell this to the cat in my neighbourhood that is using my tree wells for a crapper. BTW, most cats puke more than dogs.

One last piece of kitty psychology I have found over the years with various cats.
If you bring home or make a toy (even if it's a paper bag) don't give it to them, or have them see you "provide" it for them, let them discover it on their own. If I had a new ball or made up some pipe cleaner springs, I'd just leave it somewhere else for the cat to find because if I tossed it to them, they'd ignore it or get bored with it quicker.
The only exception to this was the box with the holes cut in every side - they all loved that.

The only thing on that laundry list I haven't seen a cat do is bark at people.
And I have four rescue cats along with two rescue dogs with plenty of other experience with them going back 30 or more years, so this isn't my first rodeo.
I love 'em but when a cat goes wrong, that's a hard problem to fix, moreso than a dog.

Careful what you wish for! My wife and I decided to foster some cats through an animal rescue outfit. We took these two semi-feral cats to socialize so they could be adopted. 15 years later we're still waiting for the phone to ring (the rescue place went out of business long ago).
Basically there is always an over supply of cats so once you have one it's yours for good.

Yeah fair enough. I had a very vicious cat that walked around caterwauling all the time.
On second thought maybe I'll just play with a somebody else's kitten for half an hour and I'll probably get my fix.
