Her parents said she was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Im sorry, I know they've been through a lot but that's just not true. That dude who was killed while eating pho a while back was at the wrong place at the wrong time. She was knowingly hanging out with gang bangers and drug dealers. She was at the right place at the right time.

In general, I get what you are trying to say. But no one deserves to die that way.

She had her issues, and frankly if she wasn't from a somewhat well-known family this would barely make the news, but it doesn't make it any less sad.

I'd argue that the bystander eating Pho deserved to die just as much as this girl. Both were in a place they should not have been, whether they knew it or not.

Going just by what we've heard, it sounds like she knew she was in a place she shouldn't have been.

I never said she deserved to die, just that she wasn't at the wrong place at the wrong time. She was hanging out with a gangnager/drug dealer.

You'd argue the guy eating pho was at a place he shouldn't have been? why is that? he was eating at a restaurant, not hanging out with gang bangers.

My comment was more about how whenever someone dies a public death, all kinds of pictures come out from their "personal" facebook page. It happens all the time.

I'm sorry about this girl, and nobody deserves to die like that. I used to live a few doors down from Sanjeev Mann. He survived at least two attempts on his life before being killed in Bolsa. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Choices are made and can have consequences.

There is probably more crime in any entire quadrant of the city than any one single neighbourhood.

It does have some basis in reality though.

I dont have the time to look up stats right now but for crimes like home break ins, homes in affluent neighborhoods within a certain distance from a major roadway are far more likely to be targeted, than any other group.

I assume it is because stealing from poor people is not as productive as putting some time into commuting.

Violent crimes, IIRC, don't follow the same pattern, as they are more likely crimes of impulse or passion.
