Sweet Victory 17-10 Stamps. Cornish and the Oline played great!

We better get it together soon on offense.

I thought the offense played well considering the conditions. They still need to be better passing the ball but it was a well played game.

Terrible conditions today, and they moved the ball when they needed to to earn the victory.

Meh. Its adequate. Just has to put it together when it comes to playoff days come November. Relatively speaking to the other teams in the division, its good enough to get in the playoffs and then it comes to the one offs.

Pretty good game all around for the Stampeders considering the wind condition. Kudos to Kevin Glenn and Jon Cornish for getting the offense going especially in the first quarter where they were playing against the wind. OLine did a superb job in protecting Glenn and giving Cornish lots of room to run. Actually one of the reason for Jon Cornish running success was the blocking of Rob Cote. I cannot remember how many times he made a huge block during the game. R Joe West had an awesome game. On his first game, he made his first catch and it's his first CFL career TD. So, Huf why do we need Arjei Franklin in the lineup again? West should take his spot every game. It just means we have to remove one import player on offense. I am not sure how much influence OL Obby Khan's leadership to the Stamps success today. I am pretty sure Tsoumpas was happy there's another veteran presence on the OLine other than himself.
On Defense, i thought they played well except they gave up a lot of yardage on running game. Charleston Hughes was a monster out there always in the mix. INT and forced fumble. I think they only made a few mistakes, one was Chris McCoy major penalty when he ripped Durant helmet off and Pettway late hit. Tad Kornegay was okay earlier in the game but he got burned a couple of times by Chris Getzlaf. On Special Team, coverage were good but i was impressed with the punting of Rob Maver the most. He made 2-3 good punts against the wind late in the game.
It's always great to beat the Riders and more happier when I see Darian Durant making some mistakes. I hope this is the beginning of their winning streak and not do the pattern of win-lost-win-lost and so on.. I always think Calgary is the team that will give BC Lions run for their money if they get their act together.

Awesome game by Maver and Cornish. Those punts were cameron-like. and i'm glad they are stopping the stupid strategy of 2 series Cornish 1 series Coker. It worked when Reynolds was getting older and you wanted to rest him, but Cornish is still young. He should be in every series!

Good win but Glenn continues to not impress. One good quarter is enough to beat the sad sack Riders, but not any good team. Two straight games under 20 points, and 3 out of the last 4 does not portend well for the Stamps going forward.

Considering the windy conditions, I thought he did well. No turnover, moved the ball and time management is the key especially when they are playing against the wind. I am not a big fan of Glenn but if he can have a turnover-free and not giving lots of time to the other offense i am happy with it.

Even though I usually defend the CFL the parity seems to stem from a bunch of teams being mediocre at best.

Sask is about to join Wpg in the very bottom tier and obviously BC looks to be the favorite. As for everyone else it looks to be who sucks the least.

Sask defense has become buttery soft. Durant isn't getting much help from his receivers but he's terrible right now. I also blame the play calling. This Ricky Ray style offense with nothing but short yardage throws where Durant just stands in the pocket is pathetic. If he throws the 40yd pass to the sidelines for a 2 yd gain one more time I might lose my mind.

When he ran he did so with success but it seems like he's getting no directive from the coaching staff to take off.

And what the hell happened to the deep ball? I know the Riders don't have the receiving corps they used to with Fantuz gone and Bagg hurt but that was the bread and butter of the Riders' offense. Take a lot of chances deep and even when they don't work it stretches out the opposing defense (or gets a good PI call because the refs are crooked and it is a CFL conspiracy and the Riders frequently dive to get the calls...at least if you're moon that seems plausible).

Other than Cornish the Stamps weren't very good but then again they didn't have to be. Glenn didn't lose them the game and that is exactly what he needs to do. That being said he was only servicable. He'll need to be a lot better if the Stamps are going to beat BC.

Nonsense...the defense was very good and the oline was dominating at times.

The defense didn't have to be good, the Riders were terrible and the Oline did give Cornish some holes but the Riders terrible defense helped a lot.

The Riders suck, there offense is nonexistent because they can't go deep and get the free be pass interference calls like they always got. Now that the PI is gone they have no game plan.

Well why aren't you giving credit to the crappier team?

That, quite literally, makes no sense.
