I don't watch a lot of soccer but the officiating has been brutal. Missed call then two seconds later bad call.

Has the officiating been one-sided or just bad in general?

Bad in general....both teams are diving all over the place.

You get the feeling America is going to score at some point, question is can Canada get the second goal first. But as in the case in these upsets, Canada has taken advantage of their one great chance.

Yeah, the field seems really tilted to the American advantage. Canada can't mount any pressure at all. It's like watching a hockey game where a team tries to kill the third period like a 20 minute PK.

Canada's defense was getting a little shaky near the half. Good for them to get into the break with the lead. now they can settle down and re organize.

The ref's been inconsistent but there hasn't been any major incidents.
And there hasn't been any diving, players run, they get tripped, they fall and then they get up.
Nobody's holding their faces and rolling around.
And I like the Canadian NHL-style shot-blocking!

Americans are falling all over the place and complain every time with their arms in the air.

Well that was beyond brutal. Being afraid of everyone else allows for a corner kick goal.

The American player muscled/pushed our player into the inside of the net. I imagine it is hard for the ref to catch all the infractions going on.

Seriously, that isn't a handball in the box on the Americans?

They are complaining a lot, but there's also been some pretty physical plays and tackles. I hope the officiating doesn't become the story in this game.

How do you just ignore the handball?
And why did Scott get a yellow when worse has been let go??
