And now Pitta for the Ravens breaks his hand and is out! Most likely until September 10.

Damn, he's about as sure handed as they come.

Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl MVP Quarterback Len Dawson, 25 years after being enshrined in Canton as a player, will be enshrined this weekend as a broadcaster.

http://www.kansas.com/2012/08/02/243...ters-hall.html

Quote:
Dawson went to work as a sports anchor while still completing his career as quarterback of the Chiefs, and Friday night in Canton, Ohio, he’ll receive the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, 25 years after he was inducted into the shrine as a player.
Dawson, 77, will join Frank Gifford and Dan Dierdorf as the only members of the Hall of Fame as players and as recipients of the Rozelle Award, which recognizes “longtime exceptional contributions to radio and television in professional football.”
Dawson’s work as a broadcaster spans local television as the longtime sports anchor on KMBC, Channel 9; national television as an NFL game analyst for NBC Sports for six years; cable television as a co-host for 24 years on HBO’s ground-breaking “Inside the NFL”; and radio as analyst for Chiefs broadcasts since 1984.

The Browns were sold for $1 Billion to a Steelers fan? WTF?

Apparently Dion Lewis has been the star on offense for the Eagles during TC so far. Rodgers-Cromartie has been lights out on defense, as has Brandon Graham. Bryce Brown looks like the favourite for the third RB spot over Chris Polk.

In less than shocking news Michael Irvin is back on the pipe again.

“I think the world of Belichick,” Irvin told the Herald recently. “I told him this, ‘Man, if it was up to me, that (Super Bowl) trophy would be called the Lombardi/Belichick.’ I don’t care what they think. It would be called the Lombardi/Belichick. That’s how good he is to do what he’s doing in this day and age, what the league is now.
“I would call it the Lombardi/Belichick.”

If I was a Browns fan I would be ecstatic. It's safe to say that the Browns have been in a rut for a while now. Maybe new ownership is the kick in the pants that franchise needs.

It like Cliff Harris is going to make the Eagles as well. Would've likely been a 1st rounder this year if not for the personal problems.

Yeah, apparently he's been running with a tonne of power and catching passes out of the backfield really well. Work ethic has been top notch.

The eldest son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid was found dead at the team's training camp Sunday morning.
Garrett Reid, 29, was found dead in his Lehigh University dormitory room by campus police at 7:20 a.m. Sunday.
Players and coaches gathered in a group prayer before the team's 8:15 a.m. walk through here.
An hour later, general manager Howie Roseman and Lehigh University chief of police Edward Shupp addressed reporters.
"I have some heart-breaking news to share with you all," Roseman began. "It is with great sadness that I tell you that Garrett Reid, the oldest son of Coach Reid was found dead this morning in his room here in training camp. It's a tough morning for all of us in the Eagles family.
"Garrett grew up with this team which makes this news even tougher to process.
"Our hearts go out to Andy, Tammy, Britt, Spencer, Cosby and Joanne,

just horrible news...ugh.

I know there had been some drug problems in the past, and who knows what happened here, but reading this kind of stuff is just terrible.

That's how many people showed up at Invesco yesterday for the Bronco's scrimmage.

Peyton Manning has, as I predicted, made the Broncos fans forget about Tim Tebow.

What a gong show the Jets are.

Really really easy to dislike.

Terrell Owens had a very impressive workout Monday in Seattle, a league source told ESPN's Ed Werder, and it is expected that the Seahawks will try to sign the free-agent receiver.
