This is terrible.

Columbine was one of the "moments" of my generation in that things were different afterwards. What more does Denver have to go through?

Sounds like he came in through the exit, possibly blocked it open before going outside to get the guns. If anyone's been to a midnight movie premiere, I wouldn't be shocked if he had just carried them in there, although even airsoft guns would probably not be allowed in a movie theater. Dressing like a swat guy wouldn't be at all weird at this kind of event though.

Jesus this is just terrible. I know it’s what everyone is thinking but how could anyone do this? What goes through someone’s mind that makes them attack a theatre full of innocent people? Reading that some of the victims were kids just makes my heart drop. I truly hope justice is served.

Well since he's still alive it's possible we'll get a motive out of this. Obviously he planned this well in advance (and yes I've read he was dressed as Bane as well) so he has a reason for it.

I never listen to Jack FM in the morning thanks to the two d-bags on the morning show, but I was accidentally tuned in this morning when they were talking about it. The chick (Kelly Abbot?) mentioned the shooter's name. "The suspect is James Holmes. He's an American, so at least this wasn't terrorism." Nice bit of racism there.

Kudos to the movie studio on this premiere. Best. Special Effects. Ever

Do you have something else in your post but in a different color? When I hit the quote button, something pretty ignorant comes up.

Wow, that's terrible.

By her logic, here are a few other people who didn't engage in terrorism:

Not only is this comment completely inappropriate, it is also very naive and off base. Mass murder is not a strictly American phenomenon.

Still waiting for someone to make the argument if more people had guns this would have been prevented. Because panicked people shooting in a dark, smoke filled theatre would definitely end well...

Colorado currently has two inmates on Death Row. Hopefully this guy is the 3rd.

I was listening to the news, and one "journalist" was trying to blame the movie saying the the Batman franchise is violent and has a cult-like following. She emphasized "cult".

Can crazy people just be insane anymore? Why does something have to be blammed besides the fact this guy was clearly ####ed in the head?

There can't be real justice. 12 young people are gone forever. Hundreds of lives are ruined.

In time, I hope they look hard at prevention.

1) Were there warning signs? What should we do with troubled people?

2) No civilian needs an assault rifle.

Especially chilling is reading her blog on the shootings at Toronto's Eaton Centre not long ago.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in this tragedy.
