the argument can be made financially that you keep him because if he is the difference between CL and missing out next year that's more than 20m or whatever they would get for him
I think they sell him, but I could see reason to keep him, he's not forcing a move, he's just not signing a contract

I believe thats been finalized, but I dont know how much you can ask from him either. Then again, having the option of Giroud and Podolski is pretty good, both very prolific scorers from their respective leagues.

I get that, but at the same time hes 28 years old and another season with a club he doesnt intend to stay at is spinning his wheels. He has no real incentive to play for Arsenal, so you might as well move him.

1 season of more than 13 goals doesn't make you prolific

I guess it will depend on what we can get for him. If we can make another sizable withdrawal from MiddleEastlands Financial that will be able to finance the purchase of a suitable replacement; he should be sold. On the other hand, if we can't buy a super striker with his fee we'll have to keep him.
Even though I was preparing myself for this, my gut is still wrenched.

I would be surprised if they sell him to City
I think PSG or Juve are more likely, if he truly wants titles it's going to be easier in those leagues
my guess is he goes for about 20m-25m

I'd say City is the most likely destination, PSG an interesting possibility, and Juventus not even remote. Some of the better written articles I've read this morning saw the statement as nothing more than a maneuver by RvP's camp. If this is the case, it would be a money grab; hence the two options. As such, I'd much prefer him to cash in at PSG as it would be a win-win.

Goal line technology approved.
Quote:
International football's FA board (IFAB) has unanimously approved the use of goal-line technology after months of exhaustive tests were carried out on two systems - Hawk-Eye and GoalRef.
The Premier League reacted to the historic decision in Zurich by vowing to implement the technology "as soon as practically possible''. However, the introduction will not be immediate because each system will have to be licensed, installed and tested in each venue to ensure it is functioning properly.

not surprising. He was injured a lot last year and also lacked the pace and spirit that once made him a special player. With Kagawa and probably another midfielder coming in, someone had to go and Park was a logical choice. Good luck at Loftus Road!!!

There are rumours surfacing that Mancini will resign from his post at Man City and take over the Russian national team (6 year contract till 2018) ...

No brainer that Mancini stays. Although he would have been a good fit for Russia.
If he can keep Balotelli's head screwed on straight this guy can manage anyone.

Not done, obviously, but at least a decent chance of this happening.

Evidently Wikipedia is not so confident.

His wiki page is rather snarky.
Quote:
|
On 26 February 2012, Borini was called up to the senior national team by head coach Cesare Prandelli.[12] He made his debut on 29 February 2012, in the friendly match lost 1–0 against the United States. He has been included in the Italian team for the UEFA Euro 2012, but did not leave the bench. Arsenal later were interested in his mum, because thats all they can afford now rvp has left.

Rumors abound that Clint Dempsey is signing with Liverpool. The official site even had him added for a few minutes before pulling it.
If so, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Not only is he quality, but the dude is tough as nails.

I heard a while ago that his defence was going to be "Anton, I did not call you a cheating black b*****d." Claiming that while the cameras caught him saying you cheating so and so, they didn't catch him saying the "I did not call you a" part. It's a very strange defence. I also saw that the max fine in this case will be £2500. Seems to be a disproportionately small penalty considering how much interest this case has generated.
