Something would just seem missing though, with Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure long gone since the unfortunate death of the great Phil Hartman a decade ago. We've really gone through 10 seasons and a movie of the Simpsons without two of it's greatest ever characters.

I loved it! The Simpson's has evolved, I don't think it has gone down hill as much as people say. Sure it's not as funny all the time as it once was, but that's pretty lofty standards. It is still one of the few things I make a point of watching. When I see episode's from the first two season, I turn the channel. I look back and wonder how the show became popular. From Season 3 on, it is fantastic.

As for King of the Hill I love it too, and it has gained momentum (as has Family Guy) since this thread started.
