But every conspiracy theorist claims to simply be a skeptic (because it sounds a lot smarter and less wingnutty). There's being reasonably skeptical (ie. waiting until facts emerge and then drawing reasonable conclusions), and then there's being deluddedly skeptical, which means continually claiming that a satisfactory level of proof has not been reached on one side, all-the-while applying far less rigorous standards to poorly reasoned or researched points from the other side.
