Anal Bum Cover
I've spent five years of my life trying to invent an anal bum cover, failing to do so is my greatest regret.

You should spend more time on inventing a DP shield of sorts. This is a must.

And the second would be for 30 million dollars a month to be given to me, tax-free in a Swiss bank account. You know, if I had three wishes I could make this holiday season, the first, of course, would be for all the children of the world to get together and sing, the second would be for the 30 million dollars every month to me, and the third would be for encompassing power over every living being in the entire universe. And if I had four wishes that I could make this holiday season, the first would be the crap about the kids definitely, the second would be for the 30 million, the third would be for all the power, and the fourth would be to set aside one month each year to have an extended 31-day orgasm, to be brought out slowly by Rosanna Arquette and that model Paulina-somebody, I can't think of her name. Of course my lovely wife can come too and she's behind me one hundred percent here, I guarantee it. Wait a minute, maybe the sex thing should be the first wish, so if I made that the first wish, because it could all go boom tomorrow, then what do you got, y'know? No, no, the kids, the kids singing would be great, that would be nice. But wait a minute, who am I kidding? They're not going to be able to get all those kids together. I mean, the logistics of the thing is impossible, more trouble than it's worth! So -- we reorganize! Here we go. First, the sex thing. We go with that. Second, the money. No, we got with the power second, then the money. And then the kids. Oh wait, oh jeez, I forgot about revenge against my enemies! Okay, I need revenge against all my enemies, they should die like pigs in hell! That would be my fourth wish. And, of course, my fifth wish would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. Thank you everybody and Merry Christmas."

Had an idea!
|
So 3 pages and only a few posts where people actually knew what they want for Christmas.
Come on people, I need ideas.
I love the gift idea stuff from places like Men's Health. Yeah, because I have like $30,000 to spend on presents.

People say I'm hard to buy for. The more I think of it, the less that statement makes sense.
Get me anything with a Texas Rangers, or Calgary Flames logo slapped on it & I'll be happy. Alternatively, get me merchandise from my favorite TV shows.
As far as art goes, I love pictures and such, but I want a connection so skyline of a city I've lived in or love (Halifax, Fredericton, Sydney, or Boston, Montréal) or if you can get a picture from a sporting event I attended that'd be beyond awesome too. (I like the connection rather than a generic action shot).
Something I could practically use, right now I'm not sure as I tend to buy what I need. But ideas for the sake of this thread:
shower radio, BBQ set, BBQ cover, Keurig coffee maker (accessories), Magic Bullet (daily smoothies kick serious ass) a bin specifically for recyclables/bottles, tv tray/table, fleece throw blanket, Logitech Harmony remote.

After wedding expenses, moving expenses, car buying expenses, car importing expenses.....all I want for Christmas is for my wallet to stop smoking. My wife and I agreed to basically cancel each other's gifts out this year and just stick to good company and food.

I want the same thing that I have asked for for the last decade. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I have requested that all friends and family, if they feel obligated to give a gift (and I emphasize that I would prefer nothing), give me tax receipts for donations to Amnesty, Feed Nova Scotia, Oxfam or Plan Canada.
However, last year my brother got me this, which was apropos to his sense of irony:
http://www.amazon.ca/Scroogenomics-W.../dp/0691142645#_
The book makes a great case. If I am going to spend $X on you and you are going to spend $X on me, we would have been better off keeping our $X and spending it on things we REALLY need. His case was how many people would have purchased that singing bass for themselves? Mostly they were bought as silly Christmas gifts. We end up putting our economic resources into things with little utility, certainly less utility than what we ourselves would purchase for ourselves. It is a very rare case where someone else knows my needs better than I do. Sometimes that's untrue... my brother, sister-in-law and I pooled our money last year and bought my mother an iPad. She would never have bought one herself, but now she can't live without it. But that is the exception rather than the rule. I thought the book rather thought provoking.
Originally I rejected gifts because I have a great distain for the commercialization of the season. But he made an excellent economic argument against gift-giving/receiving.

Well that rules me out!
I've got my usual list (socks, boxers, books) with a few goodies like an iPad and a camera lens, plus some Weathertech floor liners for my car.
