Weird. They took away his goal and switched it into an assist. Eh who's complaining. He still has 4 points on the night!

Must of thought he had tipped it or something, however he had made a pass earlier in the play, so he still gets an assist.

It would be nice, he's a good player... but I wouldn't go out looking for players based on CHL chemistry.

He was generally expected to go 15-25 overall, but I guess teams passed on him due to his size.

6'0, 173 lbs doesn't seem to bad. He definably could had gone earlier

He was only 160 something during the draft though. His height wasn't a problem, just his weight, but I'm not sure why that was a concern. Lots of players like that at that age.

Perhaps scouts were weary if his game could translate in the NHL, that still is a pretty skinny build up. Perhaps he can be a late round gem, we won't know until he steps on the professional ice. Mark Stone is another guy who's absolutely been tearing it up in the WHL, despite being picked in the 6th round.

Bartshi is now tied with Stone for the most assists in the WHL with 34 (while playing 9 less games)

Here's hoping The Flames don't kill his raw offensive instinct when he gets here next fall.

I love the way Bartshi plays. He can score and pass the puck, drives the net and has lots of speed! Very skilled player!

Ya super excited about this kid. I think he is our one prospect that truly has the potential to develop into a star. It's player's like this that bring so much optimism and excitement to the team. Now imagine having a few guys of this caliber to look forward to.

Is that what you think happened?
Conroy and company were pretty specific as to why they acquired Horak. They went looking at Howse to see how he was doing, and kept noticing how well Horak was doing, and how his plays at both ends of the ice helped Howse (and others) play better games.
They didn't go "These two have great chemistry, we have to get them to become future linemates!"
They got Horak because he's a good player, not because of how well he solely played with Howse.

Rattie will be a great player in the league. Surprised he didn't go around 20 in the draft. He is a little younger than Bartschi I think.

Exactly. In fact, they got him because of how well he played without Howse. Conroy noticed that he was just as effective when Howse wasn't on his line, but that Howse dissappeared when Horak was injured.
