It doesn't ruin the range, it ruins the food. The same argument as having a $80,000 car with Wal-Mart tires.
You can have the best, only to ignore the small details.
This range sounds awesome, but I have to agree with the poster who said, it probably has more to do with other details than the actual stove.
An 80 frying pan will do you wonders.

Full surface induction cooktops will be available in Germany this month, and perhaps Australia too. They apparently will be offered for $12,000 up. They do have limitations as well, in that only 4 pieces of cookware can be used, certain woks can not be used, and so on. I doubt these will be available in the North American market for at least 5 years.

I find it hard to get excited over a stove.
But the free MRI definitely intrigues me.

My original plan was to have a pot filler installed with my induction cooktop.
My idea was to make instant noodles instantly as it would basically boil the water as I was filling up the pot.
but alas, that dream was crushed when the pot filler couldn't be installed.

My Aunt/Uncle have an induction range at their house, they basically love cooking on it, but they say it's impossible to keep clean. It's a magnet for dust and even clear water leaves stains/spots all over it.
You can wipe the thing with a lint free cloth & windex, and it still doesn't *look* clean under direct light.

Try a mixture of 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle and use a dry microfiber cloth.

But that would be a knock on the design, not the technology, right?

I'll be frank, the longer I have used my induction hot plate the less I like it.

We ordered this one today...
http://www.sears.ca/product/electrol...730-CEW30IF6IS
Sears was sellling it online for $2,200, today only. We quickly checked our wiring to make sure it can handle a 50a circuit, then snapped it up. Soon, Mrs. BloodFetish will be boiling water in style!
