Winter is coming.

Like it has for my entire life. I'm not surprised, I'm used it. I have heard, though, if you complain enough the Earth will change it's axis by about 23 degrees and the sun will put on some raybans and give you a great big thumbs up. We should sit outside city hall to facilitate this protest. Occupy winter.

Blizzard warning for
Baker Lake continued

Blizzard conditions tonight.

This is a warning that blizzard conditions are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system currently near Whale Cove will track eastward over Hudson Bay this evening. Rain or wet snow along the western coast of Hudson Bay will transition to snow inland, with 5 cm of snow expected in Baker Lake and Repulse Bay tonight. Winds will gradually strengthen throughout the evening with deteriorating visibilities in blowing snow. The strongest winds are expected tonight with northerly winds gusting as high as 90 km/h giving near-zero visibility in snow and blowing snow. The blizzard will end on Saturday as winds diminish.
