Washington getting Feldman to throw out his arm in the pen?

He does realize they aren't in St Louis and he doesn't have to worry about the pitchers spot coming up to bat doesn't he?

Seems odd Feldman is throwing so much when Wilson looks shakeup.

I think the issue was they didn't want to rush Feldman to the mound, which makes sense. Then they wanted the switch hitting Berkman to hit from his weaker side. However, Wilson looked like his normal ace of the rotation against Berkman, so they left him in to see how he'd do against the next guy. When that didn't work, out came Feldman.

This was game-changing technology. You know, in the old days, managers would have to build fires and send up smoke signals to call for relievers, which is the real reason why there were so many pitchers called “Smoky” in the old days. Then there was the period when managers telegraphed pitching changes, which confused the heck out of this guy. Finally, thankfully, Alexander Graham Bell came along, invented the telephone, and as you know, the very first words he said on the phone were: “Get Arthur Rhodes up.”

I'd think this is a break for the Cardinals.

Slow the momentum of the Rangers, give Carpenter an extra day rest with the possibility for starting game 7.

Bullpens also get an extra day.
