Washington getting Feldman to throw out his arm in the pen?

He does realize they aren't in St Louis and he doesn't have to worry about the pitchers spot coming up to bat doesn't he?

Seems odd Feldman is throwing so much when Wilson looks shakeup.

I think the issue was they didn't want to rush Feldman to the mound, which makes sense. Then they wanted the switch hitting Berkman to hit from his weaker side. However, Wilson looked like his normal ace of the rotation against Berkman, so they left him in to see how he'd do against the next guy. When that didn't work, out came Feldman.

Well I made fun of his stupid swing earlier so I guess I have to give the d bag credit there.

Looks like the Cards want to throw away another game.

How do yu get thrown out by Napoli with Pujols batting?

Is there a chance that the Cards get Luck if they lose this series?

Based on how it has gone so far Jon if this goes to the late innings of game 7 I will see you on the other side and hopefully we can share a laugh about the outcome.

I'll bring the beer. Do you want my Nova Scotian Alexander Keith's or my current location Picarrons?

The Cards have beat themselves tonight. How many opportunities with runners in scoring position did they have?

I love Tony but he should have brought a righty in to face Napoli.

I think LaRussa should have kept Dotel in to face Cruz.. no need to intentional walk there.

-----

Now LaRussa has really lost it, I think he's given up.

If you don't want to try to win why even bother going up for the 9th?

Not sure what LaRussa is doing; reminds me of the cockiness and arrogance he was showing against the Jays back in the 92 ALCS.

Cards have killed themselves tonight for ure.

Anyone catch (its on the Sportsnet Gary Thorne (Called SCF for ABC in 2004) and Sutcliffe) Carpenter call Napoli a peice of s*** after his long fly out in the 6th? Not sure if it was on Fox, but clear as day on the replay on the Snet feed.

If we ate just going to hand Texas the WS why bother going through all the effort to get there?

Cards should be celebrating a WS win tonight not trying to figure out how to win two games.

moon,

If I thought it was possible to send you a beer through the mail, I would.

Despite being very excited right now, I do have a part of me that feels for you. That would have been a tough loss.

No baseball tonight. RAIN!

So more on bullpen phone-gate!

http://joeposnanski.si.com/2011/10/2...nes/#more-8462

Quote:
But most of all, these phones — because of some sort of advanced technology that baffles the mind — have allowed managers to actually talk to bullpen coaches FOUR HUNDRED FEET AWAY. This was game-changing technology. You know, in the old days, managers would have to build fires and send up smoke signals to call for relievers, which is the real reason why there were so many pitchers called “Smoky” in the old days. Then there was the period when managers telegraphed pitching changes, which confused the heck out of this guy. Finally, thankfully, Alexander Graham Bell came along, invented the telephone, and as you know, the very first words he said on the phone were: “Get Arthur Rhodes up.”

I'd think this is a break for the Cardinals.

Slow the momentum of the Rangers, give Carpenter an extra day rest with the possibility for starting game 7.

Bullpens also get an extra day.

Additionally, this better not coincide with my Halloween party of Friday

Strange one tonight with some terrible errors by both teams. 4-3 for the Rangers with both teams giving up unearned runs.
