The FBI already foiled a plan for Sept 11, 2011. The terrorists were planning to attack trains on the 10 year anniversary in major cities like NY, Chicago, LA, etc.

I've always thought that cruise ships were large floating targets. I'd hate to see something happen to one of them, especially because the demographic of those on board tend to be older people.

But yes, I do anticipate that somewhere there will be an attack or an attempted attack.

"Never" is a long time so of course there will be attempts and even potential successes.

What people worried about in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 was frequency, that there would be more and more and more in ever increasing numbers and their own personal safety, regardless of where they were or what they might be doing, would be in peril.

I think people have largely moved past that thought process and even a successful attack in the future wouldn't bring back that same level of paranoia.
