$25 for cell phone, $20 for internet and $30 for TV. So about $75. But I'm on a student promo for internet and special promo for TV for about 6 months.

This time last year when I got my student promo, I had to call three times, with different promos being offered each time.

I can't remember what they were exactly, but one wanted me to sign a contract for one year, which was odd because I didn't think Shaw did contracts. One deal outright sucked, almost $100/month, and I almost went with Telus, who was offering a much better deal at the time. And I phoned a third time and was offered the deal i have now, which stayed in effect for one year: $63/month for phone, X-treme and digital cable (up to about channel 50, some channels in the 80s and some channels in the 100s).

When I phoned just last week to renew, they simply renewed for another year and had me fax them my school timetable.

As for home phone, the only reason I have one is because of the door-opening-code thing in my building. I didn't want it hooked up to my cellphone.

I just canceled my DirecTV ($76/month), but before they would let me cancel, they first offered me the new customer price of $30/month for a year - i said no thanks. They next offered me free service for three months, followed by the $30 rate - no thanks. Last retention pitch was 3 months free, $30/month after that, plus free upgrade of my equipment to HD-PVR. Wish I canceled a year ago
