Honorable Mentions

This one still gets me everytime.

I quoted this line countless times during high school......Del Toro owns in this scene.

And the best twist ending ever!! I saw this in the theatre, so I had no idea there would be a twist ending which made it so much better.

This scene is IMHO the best shootout ever filmed. No gangsta sideways shooting, no over done ricochet effects. Mann has always had his actors trained by professional shooters to make his scenes look more believable. Collateral with Tom Cruise is an excellent example of this as well.

And the ending is actually really moving if you watch it for what it is, it actually chokes me up a bit every time. Just unreal performances by both men, and it is the only scene, where they share the screen at same time, as Mann wanted it that way.

This scene took at least three rabbits before it was done.

It is one of my all time favourite films. To be frank as a huge Quinten Tarentino film it is the Tarantino film he wishes he could make.

No Slingblade clip yet either, strange!!

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

A criminally under rated movie

If you can believe it, I have a co-worker who had never seen HEAT, so I let him borrow my DVD. He still hasn't returned it after probably two months, because he has only watched half of it so far. I refuse to take it back from him until he watches it. My favourite movie.

When I did BMOQ we watched and studied the downtown shootout scene from Heat for the realistic example of a basic section attack.

Presumably as an example of how it can all go to #### and many people can get killed who are just going to the market to pick up some milk?
