I second contacting Pound Rescue, if the lady that runs it can not take them in, she will have some good ideas as to where they could go or what your options are. Another place you could try, although I am not sure they take surrenders is Heaven can Wait out of High River.

Hey, sorry to hear of your situation, would definitely help out but just moved to Halifax. The orange one is identical to my cat, and the tourtie an exact to our late cat as well.
I emailed a close friend (Older couple in calgary) and asked them if they would like to take the cats. They are awesome people and have had many pets that lived very long great lives. As soon as she gets back to me I will PM you.

We went through the allergy thing with my wife, we had 2 cats as well and my wife new something was causing similar symptoms. By the time she got in for allergy testing the cat had become part of our family. When the results showed she was allergic to cats, the allergy doctor said get rid of the cats easy for him to say. She would not get rid of the cats they were like our kids at the time as we didn’t have children yet. She went for the allergy shots for 5 years once a week downtown.
Well 17 years later we the oldest cat had to be put down for kidney problems and bad hips. The second one is still with us and going strong. Keeping in mind that these cats slept with us every night.
The one thing that we did that helped was bathing the cats once a week, I know people will say this is mean but the other option was to be put down.
I hope this help, I also showed my wife the pictures and we would love them but our life now is our kids and the one cat we have left.

Well, my landlord put the kibosh on my fiance and I taking in the cats. Sucks, but the landlord sets the rules and I'm not going to argue them. We're pretty bummed out about it. Good luck Boblobla!

Thanks for the interest Mazrim, I completely understand the situation.
If anyone else knows anyone or if you can show this thread to friends and family it would be appreciated. We are going to try for about 1 more week to get them adopted together and then we will have to take them to a shelter.

I'm sorry to hear about this situation. We went through something similar about a year ago when we picked up and moved to Costa Rica. Both of our mature cats would not have survived the long ride in the airplane so we decided to adopt them out. It took about 6 months of searching to find the perfect homes for them. Don't give up, and don't hesitate to ask everyone you know. Someone will know someone who is the perfect match for these guys. All the best!

My first wife and I topped out at 2 (for about 240 lbs of dog) and 4, so don't be cheap and help a brother out.

Updated main post with a link to the kijiji ad, going to give it a few more days before we look at splitting them up and adopting them individually.

Just my 2 cents but maybe updating the thread title. The way it is now I wouldn't have guessed you were giving away cats.

I won't read through the whole thread so if someone suggested contacting veterinarians I apologize.
Unfortunately, they will have engaged necessary euthanasia for owners and will know pretty intimately situations where owners who have lost cats may want to take on your situation.
Or maybe they're inundated with calls like yours. I don't know.
We have four cats and two dogs, all essentially relocations that came to us. Cats can be difficult going introduction to situations with other cats already established. Good luck.

One final bump in the hopes someone sees the thread who didn't previously. Still really hoping to adopt both cats to the same house.

Oddball question: Do you know if they get along with other cats?

They get along with each other an were bought at different times. They have not been introduced to any other cats. Loki is very social so I think he would be fine, Ariel would probably need an adjustment time.
