Allegedly it's a prank. But in my opinion, he's still alive just like Michael Jackson, Elvis, and Tupac are "still alive."

I find it pretty tough to believe it's a prank, police reports and smoldering wreckage aren't exactly easy to replicate. Nor is shutting down a relatively major road for the morning commute.

Oh yeah, I agree. It's just a bunch of hopeful fans not wanting to let go. Although, if he is alive then...good for him.

I feel conflicted over this. I did like watching him in Jackass, but that doesn't excuse him for being a jackass outside of the show if the drunk driving thing is legit. I don't have sympathy for those drivers, just those they leave behind.

According to TMZ among others, he was indeed driving, and drunk. 3 beers and 3 shooters before getting behind the wheel.
Stupid decision that wrecked a bunch of people's lives. Sad.

Over how long of a period I wonder? That's not a big amount of liquor.

Yea, makes me wonder if he just lost control of the car because of how fast he was driving.
Obviously id expect him to be over the legal limit, but if thats all you had he probably wouldnt of been that "drunk" (not that it makes it right though)

I always felt Dunn was a pretty safe bet for first jackass guy to die. He was crazy, but not crazy enough to enjoy that aura of invincibility that steve-o, knoxville or pontius have. He was too dumb to move on to better things and too much of a blue blooded jackass to attempt a normal life. I'll miss ya, Dunn.

I know I've already posted about this, but I have felt pretty torn over the entire situation.
One one hand: Guy I enjoyed watching, gave me hours of entertainment and over-all was fun to watch. Jackass isn't for everyone, but I always enjoyed watching Dunn. Mostly his reaction to stunts done by other guys.
On the other hand: I don't condone drinking & driving. I'm sure most of us in this thread feel the same way. No matter what amount, over whatever amount of time. There are options to get home safe. Let's not forget: he's not the only one that died. There was a passenger, as well.
I Tweeted earlier today (yes, I'm on Twitter) that I didn't feel any sympathy for Dunn, because he was drunk behind the wheel. I've had plenty of people come at me with all sorts of excuses and crap. It's incredible. Does society REALLY think it's STILL ok to drink & drive?
One dude on twitter has been attacking me, saying "you should try it (drinking & driving) before you talk crap." Really? Really dude? Makes me shake my head.

Zac Hartwell, a friend of Jackass star Ryan Dunn and a minor actor in several films
has been identified as the mystery passenger in the death crash of Dunn's Porsche early Monday morning near Philadelphia.

Not sure, all I've read is that he was at the bar for about 4 hours. But he could have been there relaxing with a beer or two for a few hours, and then had another beer with 3 quick shooters right before he hopped in his car. Or he could have been drinking before he even stepped into the bar. Who knows.
Either way, I'm guessing a bit of drinking mixed in with some high speeds was the cause, not just the drinking.

That's why it's called drinking and driving. I'm sure the drinking had a lot to do with the decision to drive dangerously fast.

Maybe, but maybe not. The guy was in a series called Jackass ... did you see the crap they did sober? Excellent decision making wasn't necessarily their strong point.
