Hmmm... I wonder what the ambulance chaser equivalent is for lawyers who stalk radio station employees who just lost their job.

I understand those that still work in radio of course, even though I got out many years ago, but why anyone would choose to listen to regular radio is beyond me. The wife and I both have satellite radio in our vehicles and at home I use my Apple TV to listen to a variety of Internet radio stations. I see no reason to listen to regular radio with commercials and all that Canadian content forced down your throat.

News, weather, traffic, local sports, local events, etc. Sure there are stations dedicated to that but personally I do still like music too. Yes, repetitive commercials suck, and some local commercials are really bad, but someone needs to pay the radio station's bills so I don't begrudge them making money.

While really, you shouldn't be using the internet or the radio while you drive. Both are too distracting.

Was that the dude with the super nasally voice that sounds like the host on CP Radio? Man he sucked.

I'll get those things when I want and not just when a radio station decides to give it to me. Apps on my phone, the Internet, wherever else. I listen to the radio for music.

Boy, it wouldn't be a radio station thread without Sirius subscrbers behaving like Apple product users...
It will be interesting to see where Beesley lands. If he ends up taking a gig in another town, the Flames might well be looking for a new PA announcer.

Sounds great to me...
It's a radio...at home, the Internet stations sounds fantastic over Apple TV as well.
I was just curious though why people still listened to regular radio. Not trying to be "better" than anyone else...just curious, that's all.

I listen to terrestrial radio. I listen to terrestrial radio because it's free. I listen to terrestrial radio mostly while I am in my car. The only other alternative for music in my car at the present is a CD player which I occasionally make use of.
If Sirius or internet radio was available in my car and free then I would probably listen to that instead.

I had a Sirius unit installed in my Prius. I quite enjoy listening to The Loft and NPR whilst driving about.
