I went by the rink again today. The nets are out, but one of them is in pretty bad shape. One giant hole about the size of a grapefruit, and a few others the size of a small orange. The side is torn too, but nothing some yarn or hockey tape shouldn't be able to fix.

The puddle/lake was still there, but it looks more like a regular puddle now. Too bad, because we could've really used a water hazard to stop those rolling balls.

There was also a fat kid on a bicycle riding around in the rink, wearing a Canucks sweatshirt. I was sorely tempted to lock him in there, but then, I thought, naw, there would probably be police somehow involved if something happened to the kid, and I'd be charged with forcible confinement or something equally stupid if they successfully tracked me down. Now that I think of it, I shoulda at least thrown him into the puddle!

Anyways, hopefully we can go for May 4. I heard the weather forecast said it was suppose to snow this week?

I'll grab some zip-ties to pull the net holes back together.

I'm still debating wearing all of my new stuff aka shin guards. I do appreciate not having shins gauged. I think i'll be weird not wearing a helmet now though.

Still room for players? I live near the area and would love to get involved. I can play tomorrow if there is room.

Added you showtime. We're full for the time being, but I'm checking with the posters who were "maybe"s.

Regardless, looks like we'll have a big game!

We generally divide the teams up (sticks in the middle style), then do a Best of 7 series, with each game going to 5 goals.

Will need to pick up a hockey stick prior to coming. I think that's the key to my success really (thanks, Charlie!)

I'm out for tomorrow. Don't want to injure my ankle too bad and miss Sunday's game.

Yeah we're aiming for Wednesdays generally, but I'm sure we'll be forced to have a game on another day ocassionally.

I'll have to remember to bring the pinnies tomorrow so we can finally bust them out and cherish their neon glory.

I'll be there a bit early (5:30 or so) if anyone wants to just shoot a ball around.
