Make sure you pick up the Frommer's guide to Medicine Hat. Chock full of information.

I'm most likely going to DeWinton this weekend, then possibly High River, followed by Okotoks. If there's time, I'll also go to Strathmore.

Be sure to check out the new Costco in okotoks. It's the latest attraction.

If you want to experience other "cultures", use an atlas or a ham radio.

My life has basically become travel. I'm really struggling with the idea of staying in the same city for a third year in a row, and am only really contemplating doing so because I think I would end up having to the opportunity to go to four or five international conferences during the next year as a result of it, not including my vacation travel. When I first started living abroad I thought it would only be for a short time, but now I find the idea of going back to Canada and settling down hard to wrestle with when I compare it to being in Hong Kong next year, Bangkok or Rio the year after that and who knows where else in the future.

I'm not sure if the waterslide itself is still in operation, but I played mini golf there 2 summers ago, so I think that's still open.

Apparently, they're really proud of their traffic lights in Okotoks because they make sure I stop at every one any time I drive through there.

Do you mind if I ask what you do for a living that allows you such flexability in location?
