No kids. Just the wife and I. We spend about $300-$400 a month max. Closer to $300. We have a rule to only eat out once or twice a month as well. We are always really busy and need to improve our eating habits (I go probably 4-5 days a week without eating anything until 7-9pm because I`m always working. Coffe is my meal. Her as well. Very bad habit.

I'd say between $200-400/month. Probably 80%+ of that is produce and eggs. My avocado costs must run me at about $2-3/day.

This is a good question, I have no idea! I'd assume $7-800 bucks a month for 2 adults and 2 kids under 2!

Pretty much my situation except the budget is closer to 100$ a month. I try to eat healthy but my fast metabolism demands lots of carbs so I'll get mountains and mountains of bread.

$100 a month, seriously?

The wife and I are average $150 a week shopping at safeway, so about $600 a month which now seems high in comparison.

$600 a month. Two adults and one teenager in the house. We shop at Safeway, but only buy the stuff that is on special. That typically reduces the cost by about 15-20%.

We hit Super Store and Walmart once a month because some of their non-perishable prices are way lower than Safeway.

I can't buy fresh food from Superstore. Just walking by it makes me feel ill.

Something doesn't add up. That is $25 a week. I am not being a jerk but I think there is something that you are not telling us about. Like that you eat at your parent's house three days a week.

Are you talking about those vacuum sealing thingies? Do they work well?

No more than 100$ a week.

Probably average $65 a week. Its hard to say as I do the bulk shopping as indicated above - if Costco has a sale on Frozen chicken breasts I will buy 4 boxes and put them in the Freezer - hard not to when its essential buy 3 get 1 free.

I do a combination of shopping at Superstore, Safeway. Costco I have the cashback Amex card, Safeway for Airmiles, Superstore for PC points.

On average 600-800 per month split between Co-Op, Sobeys and Costco. Superstore meat is nasty and I hate when people touch everything in the grocery store and smell fruit gettin their nasty nose gold up close and personal on my apricots and nectarines. I wash my fruit but its still nasty to know someones been sniffin it close.

I've never done the comparison but is Superstore actually cheaper than Safeway?

Sobeys a block away... walk to it once a week for essentials, try to hit the 10% Tuesday on the first Tues of each month otherwise. Plus Costco when we run out of stuff in the freezer.

Probably around $400/month for the two of us everything factored in.

Probably about $800 per month for 2 adults, a toddler and a baby - a mix of Safeway, Sobeys, Costco, with a bit of Walmart, Sunterra and farmer's markets thrown in so it's hard to figure out exactly.

I allot $280 (cash) to Groceries and Household supplies each month, an average of ~$65/week and I can't remember the last time I ran out of money. Typically, I have about $40 or $50 left at the end of the month. I eat REALLY well.....lots of Fish, Chicken, Beef, Fruits and Vegetables (even out of season), a bit of bread. Ramen noodles and Kraft Dinner do not make it within a mile of my home.

It's not uncommon to buy Laundry Detergent, some cleaning supplies (notoriously expensive) and groceries, but still not hit $60 for the week. I just don't know how people spend $200/week on this stuff.

Shopping for one, I spend about 300 a month.

That is eating pretty healthy too, with little to no junk food. (I have a soft spot for Rice Crisps).

Mostly just buying a box of chicken breasts at M&M meats, brown rice or whole wheat pasta, frozen veggies, some fruit (apples, oranges etc..), yogurt, cheese, mixed nuts, diet pepsi and protein bars from Pop Eyes.

Every now and then reduced sodium campbells soup for those cold days when I feel like being a fatty bo fat fat.

roughly $600-$800 per month for 4 people in the household, lots of fruit and veggies included. Sometimes I feel like I'm buying one of everything in the produce section.
