One thing I think is funny Transplant is that you call a bunch of the people on this board Liberal supporters. It's true a lot of us won't vote conservative and have liberal idealogies but that doesn't mean we voted Liberal or will in the future.
So you agree they need to be ousted ASAP??
I'd love to see the Liberals ousted. The problem is that I have more philosophical disagreements with the Conservatives and therefore could not in good conscience vote for them. Neither of them are a good choice right now IMO. But frankly if I had to pick the lesser of two evils I'd take the Liberals because at least they align more closely my personal idealogies and philosophies.

I will vote Green again and my vote won't do much as my riding is almost assured to vote in a Conservative. I live in the Conservative powerbase.

Way to TRY and downplay the issue at hand and attempt more deflection.

I will let you in on a secret Rouge... many folks are more than aware of the Adscam scandal. Many Americans are more than a little ticked at Canada, not so much for the non-support in Iraq, but for commenst that were plastered all over the airwaves down here by LIBERAL MP's.

Now you think the right leaners in the media down here are letting this scandal go by without mention? Give your head a shake man.

Does it mean much to the average person in the US....nope. Doesnt mean its not being covered.

And as far as this assinine comment...

Quote:
Oh my god! It's the FIRST time? Outrageous! Inconceivable!

What exactly is it you are trying to prove by hammering on that point transplant? You win. It's the first time. What's the difference? There was also a "first time" someone went on the radio.
Give me a fataing break. This not about someone going on TV "for the first time" as PM....its about how self-serving it is to the crook and his friends.

I cant believe you arent absolutely outraged at this....I guess anything the left does is OK in your world though.

I wonder if you would be feeling different if it was a "christian" rightie who was taing up time to save his ass instead?
Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean it's deflection.

What do you think Bush would do if his ass was on the line? Let it play out and keep his mouth shut? Do you really think he wouldn't go on television and try to get out of it? He'd let the chips fall where they may?

No he wouldn't. He'd go on tv and do whatever it takes to get out of it

Well don't leaving me hanging. Tell me the rest of the secret. Who?

I checked the BBC, CNN, WashingtonPost and New York Times, Drudge and the New York Post websites. It didn't make the front page anywhere in there. Berlusconi did though, as well as the mayor of Mexico City, the asylum seeking Ecuadoran president, Putin, Belarus... but the way you have it, Canada is the most corrupt nation in the world and everyone is pointing and laughing. That isn't the case.

So it's not being covered by the big media and by your admission doesn't mean much to regular people (I'd guess it means "nothing" to regular people)? So who is paying attention to our corruption scandal? Right wing bloggers? They don't count.

There you go again with your outrage over a politician being self-serving. Do you also shake your fist at the sky for being blue?

Just because I'm not hysterical doesn't mean it doesn't bother me. I didn't vote for the Liberals and I'm not going to do it next time.

No, I wouldn't feel any different. Just the mere scheduling of a 20 minutes speech by any politician isn't quite enough to get my blood boiling.

Right...george Bush hypothetically doing something in the US really has something to do with a Liberal PM during a corruption scandal.

you should check closer...

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/americ...eut/index.html

Jason Kenney was on FOX news answering questions just yesterday.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,88190,00.html

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7587745/

And yes, I have repeatedly said Canada is the most corrupt nation in the world....whoops...no i didnt.

Laugh. Yes this is just another typical day in Canadian politics....when a PM hijacks primetime airtime to try and save his ass. Thats the same thing as a politician just being self-serving. Got it.

Glad you arent voting Liberal as well...but why are you so adamant about my opposition to Martin then?

Blood boiling? Hardly.

Im just so happy to see what this government has had coming to them for years...start to happen. The house of cards is tumbling faster than they can patch them up.

I will enjoy every minute of it actually.

Did you really miss my point there? Politicians, all of them, would do exactly what Martin is doing right now. Do you disagree?

Well you got me. The CNN link doesn't work, but I did find the story. It was I think the 4th one down, 4 pages in. I don't know what Kenney was talking about, but the blurb you linked to is about foreign policy and military spending. I read the MSNBC one but I couldn't find it from the front page when I tried. I'm assuming it was far below the story on American Idol and Mother's Day gift ideas.

In other words, a non-issue. Just another politician caught in a corruption scandal.

Hijacks primetime airtime?
Sheesh. You should save some of your best lines for when you've actually heard what he has to say. I have no doubt you'll get plenty of material. Until then, I just can't understand why the simple fact that he's going to be making a speech has got you so irate, even if it is the FIRST time.

Actually, he isn't hijacking anything. He was quite clear.

The press are all invited, but it is up to the individual networks whether or not they want to have it live on their station or just tape it.
