Apparently the high tide is coming soon now in combination with the tsunami. And still a few rumbles, What a day.

Aren't you in Hawaii now Cow?

Just tuning in to CNN...crazy pics to watch the water sweep through this town.

Didn't one of the volcano's on one of the islands (Big Island?) start spewing lava a few days ago?

Pacific Rim in angry, my friends...

That video on Al Jazeera of that wall of water just overwhelming those roads and fields is insane.

Vancouver proper is supposedly safe... but if you're in Richmond you're pretty much screwed since its below sea level.

Watching the video on CNN is terrible. I don't see many people in the video, hopefully most of the people were evacuated. I thought I saw driving cars get enveloped by the wave though.

Wow that oil refinery fire seems to be getting worse. Looks like there was a huge explosion just seconds ago.

That's the worst part, knowing that they basically had no hope of getting away... The death toll there is gonna be pretty big. Thankfully it's mostly fishing villages and farmland being hit right now but who knows how far the tsunamis will spread...

^^Most of the Major cities in this area are on the coast. There are lots of images of cities being hit on the news here. There are reports on the news in Japan of lots of missing people coming in now, but there's no way they can even start counting yet. Just had another aftershock roll through too, just when you're starting to feel somewhat comfortable again. Lots of burst gas and water lines in the cities close to the two epicentres. Plus most people here take the trains to work, many in a nearby city. So all those people (millions) are stranded where they are until all the rail lines can be checked out and they can go home. Crazy stuff
