Don't project your distaste for western political correctness.

There was a brutal assault of a woman, "sexual" was added to describe the assault. It doesn't need clarification.

Do you actually think she suffered *insert injuries here* and the media added "sexual" because they touched her boob?

You don't go into a place like that with out protection. I don't maybe if she had a weapon of some sort the men that abused her wouldn't of abused her. But hey, 10 vs 1 person is great when the one doesn't have a weapon. But that one does have a weapon those 10 aren't going to do squat.

Good job trying to turn it into an "American's are classless neanderthals" thread tool.

You don't have the slightest sense of humor.....you maroooon.

Although my post was a bit tongue in cheek, I would never send a woman into a hostile situation like that anyways.

Would you send your attractive, innocent little girlfriend (or maybe your daughter) to the other side of the planet to work amongst a mob of rioting protestors?

Jeezus, has anyone ever been in a crowd that turns ugly? It happens just like that and it takes seconds for you to be overwhelmed.

I wouldn't give her a missive to go do my will which is to perform her job.

I don't know if you know this but women can do stuff. Like really important stuff.

If you tell them to and make sure they call every 15 minutes while they're away.

Really?

You think the answer to this would be if she had a weapon none of this would have happened?

You ever thought that maybe one of the guys that sexually assaulted her could have had a weapon as well? And I'd bet they'd kill her before she could even get a shot off.

Seriously just think about it for a second. You actually think arming reporters is a good idea? if some of the troublesome protestors knew reporters were armed they'd be robbed just for their guns.

And I never called Americans classless, but they clearly lack in knowledge when it comes to gun control.

They lack in knowledge when it comes to gun control?

Compared to who? Who has this golden knowledge of gun control?

Gun grabbers are short sighted for the most part. They don't see the big picture when it comes to citizen gun ownership. They don't have knowledge of history, and they certainly can't predict the future.
All they see is a few gun related deaths in the headlines as a justification of taking guns from citizens to stop gun violence, which of course it won't.

And by the way, I don't think an American reporter could take their firearm to a foreign country that doesn't allow gun ownership. I also don't think people should be forced to own/carry guns either, only folks that are comfortable/safe with them should have them.

Pretty much the rest of the world. Canada forsure.

And they obviously can't take their guns to a foreign country. Police officers aren't even allowed to take their guns abroad.

I just hate when people say that a certain situation wouldn't have happened with the victim being armed. The situation has a better chance to escalate when there are guns involved.

I hope she is doing well and is able to recover mentally and physically.

Then i'd like to have 100% consensual sex with her....frequently.

ok you mentioned gang rape and somebody mentioned boob gropping

and they are both called sexual assaults. Do you not see a difference?

wrong as they both are, I believe there are degrees.

You're right that in certain situations, maybe guns aren't the best option.

Switzerland has the best gun laws in the world. Canada isn't too different from America by the way. You can still buy a semi-auto assault rifle with low capacity magazine here if you get your restricted licence.

For the un-armed masses in other nations, too bad for them that they will have no means to fight back against tyranny should it take hold one day.

This is an antiquated notion of tyranny, and frankly, just blow-hard ideology which prevents you from seeing or understanding real tyrannies when they actually arise.

I would argue that we have a sort of tyranny of the desk. That the bureaucracy is what tyrannizes our will. You can't kill bureaucrats. Sorry, man, but King George and his redcoats aren't going to be marching down Lexington anytime soon.
