For reference, we use GPS, hit a max speed of 256 kph before slowing down, car had some left in it. Our cars are made of recycled Cavalier parts and I'm not a huge fan of spending a lot of time north of 220 or so.

280 hp + 320 tq + a light car like a Cobalt = 260 kph

Yeah... I was going to mention this. 240 on Ville Marie is nuts.

As the owner of my third Hayabusa, I am not gonna lie. That, is not that fast. You don't buy a 196 HP motorcycle without the intention of testing its limits to a degree.

However, there is a mantra I live by when it comes to gonzo fast machines. "There is a responsible way to be irresponsible." Any time I have ever opted to test the performance of one of my bike, it is on a secluded flat farm highway, with at least a km of clear visibility. Still stupid, but some guys have speed in their blood, and want to test the limits.

Doing those types of speeds on any city road is not only suicide, it is homicide if you take anyone out. The riders that take their exploits to the secluded highways, aren't the guys you usually hear about getting chopped in half by telephone poles, it is the morons that do it in the city.

And yes, I realize this post is filled with hypocracy, but there is ways to control the risks, and the safety of others.

And thanks in advance for the thanks madmel... I am sure you know what I am talking about...lol.

Yep, my buddy has done flyby's on the highway past my car on his Gixxer at somewhere between 260-270. The sound of that bike was incredible.
