Yes but as a salary worker who gets paid the same amount no matter how long I work, I'd prefer to do my eating at home and spend less time at work.

You can't work while you eat? I'm salaried and I never eat at home, eating at my desk allows me to boot up my computer and shuffle through my emails/get a handle on the day ahead. If I ate at home I'd still have to do that, but this way it gets done that much earlier. A small difference, but it still allows me to spend less time at work (assuming I don't spend extra time at work because I'm screwing around on CP, which never happens ).

My original point is getting muddled here, so I'll exit this thread by saying two things.
Screw people who bring milk to work in a sippy cup, and 2500 posts!

I've been known to on occasion.
Everyone that ever spotted me did always comment on how odd it was though.
Either you were running late in the morning, or you ate something for lunch (breakfast too I guess) and would just feel better if you brushed.

I don't brush my teeth at work because there is usually a guy dropping a deuce or a deuce was recently dropped. I don't want pooticals going into my mouth, so I chew gum instead.
What's up with people think it's a good idea to bring the newspaper into the stall for twenty minutes, dropping it on the floor while wiping and then putting the newspaper on the lunchroom table?

ah but by eating at work you can also leave the house earlier and beat traffic. if you spent an extra 15 mins at home eating the commute normally taking 25 mins takes 45 or more.
I have just added at least 5 mins to your day. Your Welcome.

I don't understand - why would you be at work any longer if you ate breakfast there? I guess you hard-workers are not familiar with the old Soviet mentality - "they pretend to pay us, and we pretend to work".
Personally, the amount of money I make is limited by my assistants anyhow, so I might as well do things like get gas and eat breakfast during "work time".

I have a beef with those that show up right at 8 o'clock, make some toast, yak yak yak, drink a coffee, and don't start working until 9. Over the years, I've had to ask a few of my staff "what's up with that"?
That said, I get in at 7 o'clock every morning and eat breakfast when I get here. I do it so that I miss out on hella traffic and get some quiet time in the office (daily org, prep). The way I see it, if I show up an hour early, nobody gets to complain about what I do.

Guilty. I'm a fan of hygiene and fresh breath.
I would expect it to be rare as well, although there are a few people around here that I wish would pick up the habit (at least at home).

What's up with posters saying how long they've read the forums and when they joined? Do they not realize no one cares?

Given all these new threads that have popped up, I'm surprised no-one's started a "C'mon Man" version. Pretty much my go-to line lately.
Today when the garbage men came to our cul-de-sac, they had a stand-up comedy CD absolutely cranked, I could hear every word from inside my house. It would've actually been kinda cool if it wasn't Dane Cook. Cranking Dane Cook?? C'MON MAN!

On the corner:
Who are the people in red shirts spinning signs promoting pizza joints and massage shops? Is there an institute where they learn these circus skills? Does this form of marketing really work?
What's up with that?

Guys drive around in their stock jeeps, with the doors and windows off. and the windshield folded down. With your kids in the back seat... Looks so stupid.
Whats up with that?
