I will try and get a poll set up for which day is best. We've got 16 players now, so 2 tables. I will also make sure it's not rebuy.
More details to come later.

Nice! NO rebuys FTW!
I much prefer a friendly tournament for $20 each. We still get a decent little prize pool and it won't break the bank. I'm sure most people could play once or twice a week that way.
That's my input anyways.

It is probably going to be pretty tough to find a time that will work well for everyone. Probably best if you just set a time, let us know. Those who can make it can make it.
For me personally, it doesn't need to be on a weekend if we started at a reasonable time on a weekday (7pm, 8pm, ish?). As soon as you put it on a weekend you get a lot of people busy doing something. This week Wednesday might work pretty good, no Flames games.

If you ever have a non-rebuy tourney let me know. Can't stand re-buys as it never turns into real poker just a bunch of all-ins knowing you can reload.

I agree about having no-rebuys.

Yeah, re-buys suck. Turns into a play money tourney until the first break, and if you don't go along with the "gamble" type mentality you likely end up as one of the shorter stacks after the break is over.
......even if you wait for premium cards, your hand usually get smoked because it ends up all-in against 5 crap hands.

Don't suppose anyone has given more thought to having this on Wednesday?
I am fine with no-rebuys, rebuys, add-ons, whatever... just want to play poker in a group and track it in a league. Might be kind of cool to get a little competition going.
I already know that not everyone is going to be able to make it every time. So lets just set a date and play.

I can schedule one for Wednesday, but won't make it. I'm usually available on weekends. I'll have to do it when I get home today, the AV at work blocks Pokerstars.

I'd probably prefer games on weekdays as I play live on the weekends a bit but I'm pretty flexible as I don't have much of a life.
FM, can you set it up to have two Admin people for the league? Just thinking if you can't make it then someone like Starfishy or whoever can take over for that night.

I'll give you and Starfishy admin later today. Good idea.

Week-ends are best for me because I'm seven hours ahead. The Flames do occasionally make me keep some strange hours, but if I play at 2 or 3am, I'm liable to be drunk and I'll lose all my money.
And none of us wants that to happen.

Wednesdays a no go for me but how about a quick tourny after the Flames game tonight?

2am any weekend works for me.
I can't check out the details from work but what kind of cut does PS take from these games? Is it similar to what they charge for normal STT or MTT?

I would think it's probably a regular 10% that PS takes.

HOOT and Starfishy are now admins. Let me know if either of you have problems creating tournaments.
EDIT - I'm on the Omaha table right now if anyone wants to play

Cool. I'll check it out when I get home today. I like how you can send out the mass email for a game to let everyone know. Reminds me I need to put money on my PS, I've been playing FT for the last year which I hate but keep going back.
Not a huge Omaha fan though. I'm more of a simple NL Hold'em guy, not smart enough for all those other games.

So I noticed no more ring games available?
Also what about a tourny after the game tomorrow since game time is 5?

I'll check right now, there should be 3 ring tables. I'll schedule a tournament for 8pm tomorrow. Do you want admin as well?
I had to re-create the ring tables for some reason....

I'm suppose to play live tomorrow after work but if it doesn't happen I'd be down for a game.

Don't know if I will be able to play after the game. I will try to make it, might have some father duties to attend to. Hopefully you guys can get enough guys out for a full table at least.
I know that when we were setting up live poker events (actual home games) through CP we didn't seem to get great turnouts.

I'm good either way for admin. I think it's just a good idea to keep the admins to a minimum however just for the purpose of bumping this thread.
