You can put it in the win column!!

Abbotsford moves to 9-1-1-2 on the year and have a THREE-POINT CUSHION on the Monsters for first place with two games in hand.

Now, quickly, turn on Sportsnet for the third period of WHL vs. Russia!

Been watching the Heat game on a second monitor while reading CP on main monitor and watching the WHL-Russia on my TV. I need another eye.

The Heat are now first overall in the AHL with 21 points and a 0.808 points percentage.

The Heat are sure making these previous journeyman AHL goaltenders look like NHL calibre studs. Credit to Troy Ward and the boys for a great all around commitment. It's nice to see a team come together and battle out victory after victory.

They are 2 points up now on Charlotte and even in games. Great start, now they just need more fans in the arena. Not much else the team can do on the ice.

I just want to say Brust is a really cool guy. Always nice to media people, down to earth. Just a good person.

By the way, that's 231 minutes and 41 seconds without letting a goal in. I don't think he knows what it feels like to let a goal in anymore.

EDIT - Oh and Chris Breen's snipe? Wow. Breen was as surprised as everyone else.

I thought it was Kolanos on how accurate and fast it was!

EDIT - And how about the fact that Chris Frickin' Breen is first in plus/minus in the AHL. +12 through 13 games.

Not surprising whatsoever. The guy's been a rock back there. I wish you guys were able to watch him because 12/13 Breen is vastly improved upon 11/12 Breen.

I'm catching some video of his game. I saw an incredible move from him in the d-zone tonight. I'm really happy to see his progress this past couple seasons.

I'm at work right now... I'd really appreciate if someone could write out the post game interviews as I have no sound.

Brust is less than a period away from AHL history...

Quote:
It was his third consecutive shutout, extending his goal-less streak to 231 minutes, 41 seconds. Hockey Hall of Famer Johnny Bower -- the AHL's all-time leader in wins and shutouts -- owns the league's record for longest shutout streak at 249:51.
