Hughes and an 8th for Jeri-Leon, Horon and a 4th
You knew they'd be looking for a 99 born goalie from a losing team, hopefully Hughes can perform behind a much better team.
Will be interesting to see if they keep '99 goalie Klassen as the back up or look to move him and have '01 born Tetachuk back up Hughes. My guess is the keep the younger goalie as the back up, but I think he may have injured himself on the weekend as they called up and played '02 born Thompson on Saturday.

I don't think that the Hurricanes are done yet either. They are now down to 12 forwards. As much as they need help on the back end, bodies are needed upfront.
For the goalies I'm thinking that they keep Klassen and Tetty goes to Jr. A, however that is pure speculation on my part.
As for Horon. Good day for the kid. Plays in the Macs final and should be getting the call up this week to join Seattle on their Eastern road trip.

And just like that, Klassen to Spokane for a 7th Rd in 2020. Works for all. Klassen was out of the crease here and hopefully something sticks for him in Spokane

Brandon is slumping hard and just fell behind the Hitmen for the final playoff spot. I could see them selling again and I would love to see the Canes snag Mattheos. It would give three unreal scoring lines with Henry, Cozens, Leschychyn, Bellerive, Ross, Elmer and Barlage.
Not sure if Anholt would give up any more picks though. So far hes just dealt the excess picks he had from selling last year.

Makes sense. No point in keeping two '99 born goalies around. Especially when Tetachuk is 2 years younger and looked every bit as capable as Klassen, plus with more room to grow at the WHL level due to his younger age and less experience.

I'm just trying to find any information on what draft picks are still left for Lethbridge but I'm coming up short. Does anyone know where to find info on WHL draft picks per organization?

Hurricanes trade a 3rd to Regina for '99 born Scott Mahovlich and an 8th.
Canes needed to add a forward as they were down to just 12 regulars.

It was needed, but talk about selling the farm this year. With this Lethbridge has 1 pick in the first 7 rounds. I understand that the Bantam draft is a crap shoot, but still...

Yeah. Hopefully they can quit blowing 2 goal 3rd period leads, especially to division rivals, and in the case of last night a 2 goal lead in the final 2 minutes.
Hopefully once the deadline passes, and Kisio returns, they can settle in and find a groove.
It's the most offensively deep team the Canes have had since they went to the memorial cup in 1997.

PA paid a stiff price for McDonald as it is last year and now pay a price to upgrade him... but Hanoun is a special talent who can make any line lethal. PA scarifices some depth for elite talent. I don't think they are done adding depth.

I wonder what the Broncos could have done with even one of their signed 20s back this year seeing the prices teams are paying. Probably would have been a kings ransom. Probably the same thing if Heponiemi, returned. The imports aren't exactly strong.

Man what a log jam at the top of the central. 3 points now separate the top 4 teams who are all .588 points percentage or better.
Then to top it off the Hitmen, who started 1-7, have since gone 17-9-3-1 to pass Brandon and pull into the last playoff spot and are only 6 points behind the pack atop the central.
The Canes now have 5 guys in the top 20 WHL scoring and 7 players at a point per game or better. If they can start to improve at keeping the puck out of their own net, I'm hoping they can gain some traction atop the division and maybe separate themselves from the pack. 5 of their next 7 games are against Edmonton and Red Deer so that'll be interesting no doubt.

Portland just gave up two 1st round picks and six picks total to snag 18 year old goalie Joel Hofer from Swift Current.
Huge price.

I hate the Cheater Hawks and hope that trade turns out bad.

Anybody hopping aboard the Hitmen band wagon yet?
Won their 6th straight tonight against a tough Blades team on the road. They're 20-9-4 since their slow start and only 6 points back of 1st in the central.
Canes are losing to the Oil Kings in the 3rd so by the end of the night 6 points is probably all that will separate the top 5 teams in the central. Lethbridge, Edmonton, Red Deer, Med Hat and Calgary all jammed in there.
Crazy race.

So apparently Liam Hughes has left the Hurricanes.
I'd like to know what the #### happened there. Canes gave up good assets to acquire him.
Hope hes ok.
If they trade for another goalie he won't be able to play in the playoffs.
At least Tetachuk has been playing well.
