It’s respecting lil baby by throwing a temper tantrum and taking out noted watering spot “drinx” when they ran out of baby formula.

Lifetime Suspension
|
We all have moments in our life that when we mature and remember them, you have to sit down for a second to compose yourself from the second hand embarrassment of our past stupidity. I have my fair share of those moments.
However, rioting and tearing apart a venue because a rapper named 'Lil Baby' no showed? Some of these people will cringe so hard at themselves a couple decades from now, they will snap their spines and become paraplegics.

Lil Baby didn't show up?!
Time to throw a temper tantrum!
Very on brand, if you think about it.

Could be a big contract year for him too if Garland plays like last year and Kuzmenko pans out (his likely linemates).
But, I digress, Vancouver is No Good.

They're starting with a 5, the player starts with a 7, they end up somewhere in the 6s depending on total years... Horvat isn't really the type of player who ages well into his 30's, is he? I'm sure he wishes Benning was still in charge.

I think he makes 5.5 right now? Isn't 5.9 as an example, a bit insulting? I understand coming in low is part of a negotiation, but that low for your captain?

It depends how long. If you offered the guy 5.75x8years and you thought 6.75x8years was where you wanted to end up on a deal of that term, it doesn't seem like an insulting opening offer. And if they're paying Horvat until he's 36 they should probably be trying to keep that under 7 because that's going to be rough later on.

Kadri just signed for $7M
Horvat is basically a 50 point guy, so Kadri is a little ahead of him offensively. But with respect to 200-ft games, they are probably pretty comparable. Horvat has solid intangibles. And is the captain - never a good look to underpay your captain.
I think Horvat gets $7M. And I think starting in the 5s is a bit of a slap in the face.

Kadri was coming off a 100 point pace and a Stanley Cup as a major contributor. Horvat should take 6x8 or something IMO

I also would understand, as Rutherford and Allvin made it pretty clear there were going to be some personnel decisions that the fans may not absolutely love but have to happen for the long term health of the team. Now, we all thought this meant Miller going but, here we are.

Some pretty brutal allegations of child abuse against Canucks owner Francesco Aquilinni, from his 3 adult children. Probably deserves it’s own thread.
