In all honesty, I just expext them to re-sign Rudolph and be in the exact same ####ty situation a year from now.

This is the problem with Tomlin, he's a very good coach, which means you'll never be in position to draft anyone good cause he'll push them to 9-8 every year. Steelers might honestly be best off drafting 2-3 QBs this year, and every year, until one pans out. Just keep rolling those dice, eventually you gotta hit.

Heck if the Raiders draft a QB this year they could trade AOC to the Steelers. He's low ceiling but better than Pickett IMO.

Steelers could always try and buy Fields off of Chicago, assuming Bill and the Falcons don’t set their sights on him. I can’t imagine Atlanta goes into next season with only the bowl of fried dog turds they currently have on the roster

I'm interested to see where McDaniels lands. I assume he will follow Belichick as Mayo may want to separate himself from Bill's guys.

Still jabber in NE that he might join Mayo, but also lots of talk that Bill will take many with him to Atlanta, (Had second interview with the Falcons yesterday), or wherever he ends up. I'm all for completely new coaching, although Mayo has decided to keep both of Bills sons on coaching staff.

Eagles announce Desai has been fired. That’s bad news for Eagles fans because that’s seems to signal Sirianni will be retained. They’d have just announced a house cleaning if he was gonna get the boot

I don’t hate it. While I want him gone you can’t keep firing your HC. It makes it harder to recruit coaches.

Yeah, as frustrating as it is, he's probably earned another year to right the ship.

If McDermott is fired would the Eagles change their minds on Sirianni?

I don't think the Bill's will fire McDermott, they lost a close game with most of their defence hurt or unavailable.
If that job did come open it has to be the most attractive from a football point of view as it's a really good team who could win the next year. It's not like Bellichick hasn't reneged on a job before to take a different one.

If the Bills do decide to move on from McDermott then that's the logical Harbaugh landing spot. If McDermott botched the game maybe there'd be momentum to fire him, but yeah they were crippled on defense.

There's an interesting article in the Athletic about why the Chiefs keep beating the Bills. The Bills defense has got older since 2019 while the Chiefs got considerably younger on defense in that timeline and now field the better defense today. Over that timeline the Chiefs have drafted considerably better on defense while the Bills have whiffed on guys like Elam, Epanesa, Rousseau, and Basham making the Bills defense more dependant on 30+ year old players.
