Celebrated Square Root Day

Yeah, we need this so bad. Realistically we probably need a good ten days in June just like today to set us up even reasonably for summer, but I'll take what we can get for now.
Probably four days of decent rain like this would start to make a dent in our wetlands that are bone dry as of now. Ugh, what a bad start.

I lol'd at their "100% chance of rain" for Sunday and calling for 25-50mm. LOL

I was just checking twitter and apparently 7” of rain fell yesterday around Milo, AB in about six hours. That is a significant amount. I guess there is a lot of erosion due to bone dry conditions prior. Ground couldn’t soak it up and there was a lot of overland flow

Should miss the city to the south.
A new cell is forming south of Cochrane that's gonna rip right down the TCH.

Hailing in Tuscany. Not big ones. Maybe lentil-sized. Less than pea.

My wife was pondering walking or driving to pick up our kid from school. So naturally I checked the WMI radar and all of the cells looked like they were passing the city to the west.
I recommended walking. She drove anyway. And a new cell popped up right after she left and it has been pissing rain and hail ever since. I never would've heard the end of it...

Just started raining on west hill. Seeder out hitting the storm above the NW/ Bearspaw area. Storm percolating from the NW heading in a SE direction
First seeded storm of the season?

I don't know. On Saturday I was at a friend's backyard and there was a huge grey cloud with a little plane scampering all over the place in and out of it. We figured it was being seeded.

Pop corn kernel sized hail with rain for about 5-10 minutes by Deerfoot City about 20 minutes ago. It's stopped right now, but the sky is still super dark but a bit of thunder.

About 3-4 years ago, but now it happens even if there is just the smallest littlest amount of pea sized hail. Hell, last year I was behind people stopping in anticipation of hail (it was only raining at the time).
I just can't fathom being the person stopping first in the left lane on deerfoot, all to protect your car from something you've miscalculated. How can you think stopping in a fast lane of deerfoot would even be safer??!?!?
