Real classy to try and turn this into some covid freedumb anti vaxxer thing. Bizarre to bring that here when a guy just died.
Hawkins and the Foo Fighters made some questionable decisions a couple decades ago but there’s basically no evidence at all that Hawkins or any other Foo Fighters members have any anti vaxx leanings.
They even had to deal with anti vaxxers at a recent show that required the entire crowd to be vaxxed.
Shows a lot about you though. But we already knew that.
Hawkins was tied to Age of Autism and other alternative science autism groups much more recently than decades ago. But I guess it is quite possible that he didn't actually understand what these groups were about or what they were promoting.

Wrong time, wrong place.
Take it to the covid forum if you must, start a new thread and see if it gains traction, otherwise bite your tongue for the day and let folks discuss the other 99.99% of this man’s life’s work.

Not sure what the relation is to Covid though? Why would that be a better place? I haven't made any association with Covid.
I can’t believe it. So sad. One of my favourite bands. I have tix as well in October. Was looking forward to seeing them live for the first time.
I didn’t know until recently that he got his start as drummer for Alanis. He auditioned for her when she put her first tour band together.
The HBO Music Box documentary on Alanis was a pretty good watch.
Yeah, I just watched that documentary on Thursday. I remember thinking what an interesting route his career had taken. Then to hear this when I got up today was quite shocking, just awful news.

I consider myself very fortunate to have seen Foo Fighters. They never ever mailed in any part of their performance. The energy was insane. And Taylor was always amazing. He had to be, because he was drumming behind one of the best drummers in rock.
My heart goes out to his family and the rest of the Foos.
Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had 10 different substances in his system when he died, Colombia's attorney general said Saturday in a statement. Hawkins, 50, was found dead in his hotel room in Bogotá on Friday night, shortly before the band was set to perform in the capital city.
Among the drugs found by a urine toxicological test performed by officials were marijuana, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants and benzodiazepines, the statement said. An exact cause of death was not announced, and the National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to investigate, the attorney general said.
Local health officials said Saturday that Bogotá's emergency regulatory center had received a report of a patient with chest pain Friday night. Health officials responding to the scene performed the respective resuscitation maneuvers, but they were unsuccessful and the patient died.
Sad news for sure and he was just 50. Lots of tributes on social media from other artists. Foo Fighters are a popular main stream band and even if you're not a fan you've probably heard of or seen a picture of Taylor Hawkins, RIP.
I also feel for Dave and the rest of the band and hope he can keep it together. Will be interesting to see what happens. I'm guessing they're going to take a hiatus. They're a busy band and it's quite possible exhaustion played a roll here too.
