It was a bad play by Colborne, who probably was chosen by Hartley to play against Thornton.
That said, being stripped of the puck happens. Gaudreau does it to other players all the time. And Thornton does it a fair bit too. It's not a good idea to bench players for a single mistake.

Colborne hasn't contributed positively to this team for a long time now.
We don't do things with the puck and it's annoying. Work hard and skate around with it but ends in a miss or a weak attempt. Futile offense.
I'm liking Backs/Jones effort though..

Even then, he's a good enough skater that he's going to force guys to make bad passes. And when they make those bad passes right to Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau, it'll be over before Ferland finishes his check.

Well, just to be contrarian I will say Colborne played a big part on Wideman's power play goal the other night - he set a great screen.
