He's hoping Colborne plays like Colborne always plays and is the guy who gets waived, not Jooris.

Jooris has been pretty underwhelming also this season.
Would like to see 2 of Grant, Shore, Hamilton or Arnold get a call up. But that's for another thread..

If Colborne doesn't have a good game tonight he will be out of the NHL in a few seasons at most.
This is the biggest kick in the pants you can get. He better respond with a solid outing and learn how to motivate himself for every game from now on.
Flames win a tight 2-1 game.

Colborne is going to have an amazing game and go on a bit of a rip and then he'll be traded as part of a package in a bigger deal.

Did you actually think he'd sit the rest of the season? Hartley always rotates guys back in eventually.

The amount that people get worked about about roster rotations among the 4th liners, continually astounds me.

Colborne has played the most minutes of any forward multiple times. There's reasons to get "worked up".

Gotta put out a full lineup, and I can't think of many teams who are completely happy with every single player in their lineup. That's the new NHL. Parity exists because you can't stack your team anymore due to a salary cap. The bottom of every roster is filled with guys that are imperfect players, but can all take a regular shift in the NHL. You have two options to fill that bottom of the roster: 1) marginal or aging veterans who don't have much upside anymore, or 2) young and inexperienced cheap players who are mistake-prone.
It is what it is, and it's the same for every team. You have to pick your poison and live with it.

Colbourne frustrates the piss out of me, he's got size, he's got speed, he's got hands and a decent shot.
Yet somehow 1+1+1+1 = 2 and a fringe NHLer rather then someone who could be a difference maker on our team.

Hey, do you think the Habs will give us Byron for Colborne + a 6th?

Ferland will never score another goal while playing on the first line.

Nope, the Habs love Byron... Good for him though, he never should of been waived. Guy has NHL ability.

Screw a rebuild down year, I want playoffs. It starts tonight. And Johnny's playing at home, so you know what that means.

Let's see a win tonight Flames. Can't stay at .500 forever and expect playoffs.

Probably because one of the marginal players gets 1st unit PP time somehow
