Took in my first CEBL Surge game for Father's day on the weekend and boy was I impressed. The atmosphere was fantastic.
It's definitely not going to be mistaken for the NBA, but still was a high quality product with competitive gameplay in a great venue. Love the Elam scoring system at the end of the game as well. The only con was the poor PA system (we had pretty good seats near the mid court) as the announcer is completely indiscernible from warmup to end of game.

The Surge now play the host Langley Vancouver Bandits on Friday, August 11 at 8:30pm. Calgary will actually play as the 'home" team due to regular season play where the Surge finished 1st in the Western Conference.
All 3 games, including the East Semi-Final between Niagara & Scarborough, will be broadcast on TSN. Makes for a great Friday evening double header with Cavalry also playing Valour in Winnipeg on Friday at 6:00pm!

No game comments? Tie game with 3 mins left. Always love the second tier sports "attendance". Sold out tonight with pockets of dozens of empty seats all over the arena, haha
Big basketball fan here so I bought season tickets to the Surge. I have been thoroughly impressed with the product. Great atmosphere, exciting games, and the Elam Endings (target score) ensures a level of excitement down the stretch despite what the score is.
The win last night was awesome! Watched it on TSN while visiting family in Kelowna. The championship game against Scarborough is going to be tough. They have had our number this season.
