Hybrid Theory was my sound track in middle school. I always hoped to see them live one day. Hope he's at peace now.

Off their new album. Like many of their other songs, the lyrics are quite poignant now

I've been listening to the LP discography on shuffle the last week. I'm incredibly sad now.
Depression can suck my ass.

Two unbelievable voices and great talents. Their songs have helped me and millions of people in a variety of situations in life I'm sure, it's so sad that they both couldn't overcome their own personal demons.

The thing that gets me is that it wasn't even a tribute concert or anything. Shinoda was a surprise guest, and the crowd still knew all the words to the song.

I can't say I was a fan on Linkin Park, but not a hater either. But yeah, that was amazing.

I have always enjoyed the work of LP, and I hope they find a way to continue to rock without Chester.
Watching Chester in some of those video clips he seemed to have so much energy and be full of life. I can only wonder how much that likely must have taken from him and how different he likely was in private.

Ha, I did the same and came across that as well. Derrick did an admirable job for sure.

That's awesome Derrick is on stage again. Last I heard he was barely functional out of rehab.

No one can scream-sing like Chester though, which is basically every bridge from their first two albums. What a gift he had.

It was much worse than just a rehab stint. He nearly killed himself a few years ago due to drinking, looking like a skeleton when he appeared publicly. You should check out some interviews from that time.
I'll see if I can find any.

Devin Townsend, and it isn't even remotely close.
