He redeemed himself a bit in 2006, but agreed...

Corey had an interesting career. Back to back ppg seasons on either side of the lockout year, winning a cup both times.
He only had 7p in 21gp w/ Lightning cup run.
26p in 25gp for Canes run.
Played 1025 games and 727pts.
Conroy popped for 75pts in the first full season after the trade (when Iggy popped for 52g), but Stillman outproduced him every year after (except '06-07 when CS missed more games, but still had higher ppg pace). They both ended up retiring in the 2010-11 season with only ~20gp.
Conny played 1009 games with 542p. They played 81 and 82 playoff games (Stillman 20 more pts). Interestingly similar career timelines.

Yes and this helps us stay quite a bit under so I'm not sure what the problem is.

That's because you'll never win anything with guys like Cory Stillman.

The puck was in.
ETA: forgot about the Canes. That also has an asterix due to quality of opposition.

Really? I’d give him an extra ring just for who he had to beat.
We owe that Hurricanes team a great debt.

They did a good thing by beating them - the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. But now they look back and say "we won but we only had to beat Edmonton".

Stillman was alright. He just played for the Flames at a time when we needed stars. He was a great secondary piece on a good team though and was pretty reliable. Kind of reminds me of Monahan in a way.
The Joe Sakic comparisons in his scouting reports the year he was drafted didn't help temper expectations either.

Well, Stillman’s name is on the Cup just as many times as Burnaby Joe’s.
That’s something.

I think Monahan makes more sense for the Panthers, Johnny would be great on a team like the Wild.

Wasn't Borgstrom a hot shot prospect just a few years ago? I recall stories that the Habs were asking for him when they were shopping Pacioretty and the Panthers said no.

Yes, he was a strong prospect about 2-3 years ago. Things change.

Monny makes no sense for anyone the way he is playing.
He needs to start producing to return some value.
He’s staying until that happens.
Minny plays a very disciplined defensive game. Johnny is the last type of player they need.
Johnny needs to go to a team with a free wheeling style with great offensive players around him.

Gaudreau to the Oilers. I am sure he will do alright with McDavid.

Colliton was only lukewarm on Wallmark, he was often scratched, and Dach's return made him surplus. With Mitchell and Beaudin ahead of him in the depth chart, Carlsson was not going to have much of an opportunity. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone take a flyer on Pirri, who hasn't really gotten a chance on his 2nd tour in the 'Hawk organization. He would come cheaply, I would think.
