Misses open nets and has egregious giveaways. There is nothing he can't do.

He’s obviously lost his scoring touch but at minimum don’t be a liability. 10.5 million and you put up 0 points AND a -3 for the night. Ridiculous.

Huberdeau's contract is the worst in the NHL since 8-year term limits were brought in.

Was Dipietro hurt for most of it?

Sharangovich looks like a better player than him right now.
How did he ever get 100 pts? There have been only the faintest glimpses.

One thing that gobsmacked me was the Flames’ structure once they pulled their goalie.
Multiple corner battles where they didn’t overman the puck or even have a guy close by to support.
I guess the EN is like a powerplay and the Flames were true to form.
But enough complaining. Liked that they started Wolf, and a fantastic first period!

Per period?
Or just in the final 10 minutes of the 3rd?

He had other over point/game seasons also.
All I can say is Barkov propped him up probably

I think Huberdeau's contract is worse. Both are bad, but as bad as Nurse is for his cap hit, he is still contributes more to his team than Huberdeau does. Plus, a smaller cap hit.

Yes, weird that they were always outmanned on the boards in spite of having the extra man, like they were just crossing their fingers that the outnumbered player(s) would somehow get control of the puck.

Same as power play, nobody capable of carrying the puck into the zone with control and set up play.

Was driving into Calgary trying to beat the incoming snow from BC, so had to listen to Wills and Sarich. Not sure I enjoyed that, or the game. Got here just in time to hook back up my TV and see the closing credits.
Other than wanting to see the bars, posts and misses...not sure I would have enjoyed the game if I'd been watching! Shaggy continues to impress.

His puck playing skills have been the weakest part of his game so far at this level.
Markstrom is very strong playing the puck, so wonder if they get practice time together in the future it’s something that Wolf can work on with him. I’m sure it will improve with more reps.
Also he does seem to get bumped out of position a lot. Something a bigger goalie probably has less issue with as they can hold their ground easier.
But he’s looked really solid so far. Those calm glove saves in tight are elite.

I think he mostly played with Bennett and Duclair in his 115 point season.

The Flames are a young, hard working team and are sometimes fun to watch. They just don't have the game-breaking talent to compete with most teams and put them over the top, and we're stuck with a couple of boat anchor contracts. Unfortunately it's gonna be a bumpy few years until they can completely right the ship.
Personally I'm just enjoying watching our young guys taking these big strides this year.
