I think Gemstones is a Calgary company tbh, but I know that's not what you are asking.
I'm going to piggy back.
I'm looking for some stylish & modern looking house numbers that are backlight illuminated. I have power at the location I want the numbers, so I don't want batter powered.

LED Christmas lights, with built in clips that I can control and change with my phone.
Anybody have something like this, or seen something similar? Does this product exist?
Let me know, I wish to replace my Christmas lights this year.
Check out the Twinkly lights. You can find them at Home Depot and I know a lot of people have good things to say about them. I think the only thing they lack is built in clips. They are expensive though.

Does anybody know of a place in the city that has a large selection of shipping boxes? Anybody work in the shipping box industry? I can buy the ones I want online but the cost to ship is the same price as the box…

Ones I’m looking for at 18” x 14” x 4”
Hoping for a local option.
Late reply... but does it matter if there's writing on the box? Uhaul has them and you just pick them up yourself. I think some hardware stores have them too, but Uhaul is cheapest by far.
If you need some plain Uline ones for shipping your own stuff, no idea on a place with good prices, sorry. I've seen the prices. Unless you order 10K+ it's insane.
But an inexpensive option... what about considering covering the entire box in colored packing tape?
Another trick I learned when working in a warehouse is that saran wrap is the cheapest and one of the most effective, cheap, strong and easy to use packaging materials ever. It prevents scratches, is robust, is form fitting and (if ignoring weight) you can easily ball up old saran wrap to create blocks to keep an object from sliding in a pinch.
There's a reason why you can essentially walk around an entire pallet 3-4x with saran wrap with of hundreds of pounds of stuff on it and not worry that it will rip as long as it has been wrapped appropriately against the pallet. Literally pennies in material.

Is there a store in Calgary that sells ziplock resealable plastic bags (probably about 2mil) in various sizes? Looking to organize and sort a bunch of hobby items.
I used to visit M-Pak but I guess they moved to Airdrie?
