Which is a big change from the first few months of the season. Up to 12 December the Flames were 11𣛨 at the Saddledome. Since then they have a 3𤪘 record. Calgary posted a road record of 6𥑰 in October and November, but a 10𣛦 record since then.

Ya, hopefully they can put it together down the stretch here. I抎 much rather them figure it out now, with a full head of steam going into the playoffs. As opposed to what happened last year.

LAK have good players and as a divisional rival will be a good challenge. CGY have found their mental approach - compete hard, defend hard and make plays.
CGY play has been very good past two games, keep this rolling and reach new heights. Score goals and have fun!

In relation to the poll...the last two games actually frustrate me more.
Just shows if this team actually move their feet, works hard, and play for one another that they still have a lot of talent.
Just makes the period of them being indifferent and not seeming to want to commit to working hard even more frustrating.
Optimistic about their ability to keep it up though.

Anyone else going to the game? Any recommended places to eat nearby?

I think we see a low scoring game. 3-1 Flames with an empty netter. Go Flames!

I'm going to go the other way and say we get another 6-2 win... slow slow slow start and the big boys take over in the 2nd period.

My prediction:
5-2 Flames
Yelesin, Gaudreau, Lucic, Hanifin, and Ryan for the Flames
Prokhorkin and Hutton for the Kings

Hoping for an effort repeat of the last two games but wouldn抰 be shocked if they revert back to their usual boring uninspired play

Yes he has only played in 33 games this year, however with Lucic playing I am sure Macdermid will draw in. He抯 definitely a heavyweight who has no problems targeting star players. He is right up there as one of the toughest fighters along with Ross Johnston(who I think is the toughest in the league), Reaves and Lucic.

LA's d looks soooo thin. Looking forward to the Flames exploiting that weakness.
4-2 Flames... one into an empty net.

MacDermid is tough, but he is also dirty it seems. Much more like the 'traditional goon' that would have been welcomed in the league during the 80's. I didn't get a second look, but I believe Bennett missed some time after a knee on knee by MacDermid. You do notice him out there whenever he hits the ice, however, and is surprisingly a decent skater (for his size and ability).
I think the Flames should employ the Brent Sutter strategy - whenever you get an opportunity, finish your check on him hard. Keep hitting him. I remember that strategy being used perfectly on MacIntyre in Edmonton a couple of games, and specifically remember Sarich running him hard. Guy lost it, refs jumped in before he could catch anyone and booted him out. MacDermid SEEMS like the same type with a short temper and some loose screws, so it would probably work on him too.
