100% the same. I find the best fitting silicon type case I can (I take it out of the case each time I charge it) and that's about it. Maybe order two as they do wear out over time.
Don't even bother with screen protectors. I'm careful with them but not obsessed with safety. Never had an issue. I like the phone to be as slim as possible.

I also ordered the 256GB right at 8:00. My confirmation email is timestamped 8:18am and in the body of the email it says the order was processed at 8:06 (to be precise, 14:06:47 UTC).
I just checked my order, and it says that the estimated dispatch is today and the estimated delivery is May 29. It hasn't shipped yet, but I would be happy getting it in May.

DHL just delivered my OP6. Glad I didn't pay for priority shipping. Now to check out the phone.

Mine arrived around noon today. I am super glad I didn't spring for the priority shipping. Loving it so far. It's quite the step up from my Nexus 5.

My phone arrived this afternoon, which is great. That is about 54 hours after ordering.
Now it's busy downloading all the updates and apps.

That's extremely disappointing. I continue to be impressed with their first crack at a cell phone. Was very much looking forward to a second generation.

I've only played with one but I was impressed. I might still pick one up if the custom ROM support is strong.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better sub $500 (free an clear) phone. I still feel like I stole this phone from Telus.

What's the cheapest plan possible for unlocked iphone 5 or samsung s4
$35/month?
is there cheaper? or pay as you go? I really just need a spare phone with no data.

Getting a 5+ year old phone on a plan is silly. Get one off Kijiji and pay as you go.

Our kids are on a $120/year pay as you go plan on Rogers. It includes unlimited texting, 50 (I think) daytime phone minutes, and unlimited evening and weekend phone.

That would be perfect. What kind of phone do they have?
I was just at Rogers and they said they didn't have that.
or tried to suck me into $35/month

One has an iPhone SE, the other an Essential Phone, both unlocked.
I'm having trouble finding the plan on their site, but I do see this on the WirelessWave site:
Quote:
UNLIMITED PAY AS YOU GO PLAN
Pay As You Go | Unlimited Evening & Weekend Calling + Unlimited Texting
Airtime Included
50 minutes of daytime local calling for the year
Unlimited evening and weekend local calls
|
Looks like it might be up to $180/year, which is still a good deal.
On the Rogers site, I see these plans:
Quote:
$10/month, 50 Canadian/US texts, 50 minutes of local calls
$15/month, Unlimited Canadian text

I upgraded from Nougat to Oreo on my s7 edge yesterday. And those idiots dropped the badge icons for unread email/texts/phone calls etc. If you clear the notification from the pull down menu then the badge icons disappear.
I installed the Apex Launcher pro...and its not much better.
Anyone have a work around that shows ALL unread emails/text etc once youve cleared the notifications?? I want my Nougat back... :-(

So my Nexus 5x started unending bootlooping last night. I did manage to get it shut down and thankfully my husband had his old OnePlus that I can use for now. It appears there have been issues with a sticking power button, so I guess I'll be cracking it open this afternoon to see if I can fix it. I sure hope so, I really wanted to hold out for the new Pixel in the fall.
