Truculent!

This has to be the least clutch team I've ever watched play ball.
And still 13 games over .500.
Insane.

This team is ass at the plate. Literally unwatchable when we are up to hit.
Imagine being on the pitching staff and going out there and delivering gem after gem and THIS is what you're rewarded with.

Sorry, how did DeJong not have time to even attempt a throw there? Rolled his eyes after too. Boy, his GAF meter really bothers me.

I still struggle to understand how acquiring Varsho cost the Jays both Moreno and Gurriel. What a laughably bad trade.

I didn’t mind the non throw but he definitely doesn’t GAF.

4 runs in 3 games against a bad ball club. Yeesh. I'll take the 2 W's but this doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Matinee tomorrow. Hopefully they can score a couple runs and take 3 of 4.

Not like they have been better. He is still the best of the three players this year. I suppose if you think Moreno willbe good going forward but no guarantee of that.

Only 6 runs scored between the 2 teams over 3 games. That's bonker.

De Jong 2 for 26 as a Jay thus far. Two singles. No walks.
When is Bo back?

Yes they have and are. And you have to go by their track records, not only this year. Gurriel Jr. is having a down year as a hitter this year but he is a career 280+ lifetime hitter and Gaby Moreno has a rocket arm and can really run for a catcher. He is not much slower footspeed wise than Varsho.
So no, Varsho is not even the best of the three players this year and certainly not over their careers.

No they’re not. By WAR (or fWAR plus bWAR I guess) Varsho has been the best of the three this year. The metrics just do not back up your assertion. Yes Varsho has had a poor batting year but he is the best defender and the best base runner. And it’s not like the other two are having a stellar years. If you go by track records Gurriel has never had a year (or ever will) comparable to Varshos last year.
