I don't know how they pay this off - but they need to in a way that isn't dumb on either side. It needs to justify not just showing him getting 100% killed that epside, while at the same time be somewhat beleivable.
Don't know how they do that. If they get it wrong though - they are going to hear about it.

The only way they salvage this if the group comes across zombie Glen at some point, then its like "Ahh ok, there it is." However the shock of this won't be as large since many of us would see that coming (RE: Sophie in the barn). I think what would hit home is if zombie Glen appears, they are all defeated and sad and then out of the blue he stumbles forward and bites Maggie or another key group member because they hesitate in killing him.

I think that would be just as bad. Glenn was surrounded completely by zombies, he should be near entirely eaten and beyond any type of recognition by the time he's actually zombified.
I think he's alive and will show up at mid-season finale but it will be dumb as hell.

We Asians are an agile, sneaky bunch. Have you not seen how many of us can cram into our Hondas? Some would say an impossible amount. Yet here we are. Glenn will find a way.

Don't know why some people are so up in arms about Glenn surviving. Him slipping under a dumpster and then calling for help with a walkie talkie is really not all that improbable. Particularly if the zombies are distracted by the Nicholas' corpse.

I am not sure. I don't think there is that much space under a dumpster.
In fact I doubt I could fit under any dumpster that I have seen.
Sorry Teh_Bandwagoner, But you people ain't that slim.

I know that I personally couldn't squeeze under a normal dumpster, but Glenn is a skinny Korean dude, and the dumpster looks like it's higher off the ground than most...

The show hasn't exactly established zombies being distracted by already dead flesh. If anything they've established that zombies would much prefer moving, living targets. So the second he makes a movement to the dumpster he should have at least a couple dozens targeting him while forgetting about Nicholas' corpse. And there would be nothing stopping them from scooting down and crawling under the dumpster to get at him either, if Glenn fits so do they.
He also would have to do that all without a single bite. It would be incredibly stupid, but I do expect it to happen.
Actually what I could live would be a mix of the dumpster theory and GreenLantern's suggestion. Show Glenn get under the dumpster, everyone's happy he's alive (if not annoyed at the extreme deus ex machina) only to find out he did get a couple bites on his appendages. That could allow him to actually zombify and have zombie-Glenn encounter the group.

It's extremely unrealistic that Glen could hide under a dumpster while being attacked by a completely realistic mega heard of zombies. I mean this show has likely spent days if not weeks verifying things that happen on the show could happen in real life...Everyone becoming expert marksmen is something I fully understand but Glen safely sneaking under a dumpster is something I won't stand for!
I still don't know why people aren't more upset about the fact that Rick was in an RV surrounded by the heard and just ran through it or that Coral is now a great shot yet only slaps and can't throw a punch.

This would be an incredibly funny youtube video that would almost certainly make the Reddit front page.

Sorry Poe969, but that's such a stupid argument. It's a world where zombies exist, but they've created that world and they need to base the rest in reality. If Glenn all of sudden did a kamehameha and blasted the zombies to dust to get out of his situation, would you not have issue with it?
As for Rick, I'm expecting we see how he gets out of the RV in the coming episodes as they aren't linear. In any case, he wasn't within biting distance and on his back surrounded by dozens of zombies so at least there's some wiggle room for him to get out of it alive.
I also don't like just how good of shots some people have, or conversely how bad some shots are (see Darryl, Sasha, and Abraham all not getting shot last episode) but it's still nowhere akin to Glenn's situation. Darryl not getting shot in the head last week can be considered to luck (thanks to the plot) but Glenn surviving would be no less than a miracle.

What, just because Glenn is Asian he's capable of a Kamehameha? You racist. He's not even Japanese.

Goku wasn't Japanese, dude wasn't even from this planet first of all. Anyone can learn the kamehameha...so you're the one being racist.
But it doesn't matter, since the world has zombies and everything is unrealistic it would be okay if everyone turned Japanese and did the kamehameha.

There's been a few of instances where people have gotten away while the zombies have been occupied with eating. They like moving people, but they also stop and entirely devour a person, as long as they are freshly dead. It's like crack to them. What would you rather have: the big pile of crack or have to chase down a moving pile of crack?
In this instance, the zombies were pulling Nicholas' intestines out, and Glenn was underneath Nicholas. It would make sense for them to be occupied with Nicholas. I just don't think it's this huge stretch for Glenn to make it under the dumpster without a bite. It would only take a few moments of distraction.
